These are awesome!
I have a cat that gets a bit too enthusiastic about scratching himself, so we ordered these in hopes that we could get him to stop scratching himself bloody. (It's not allergies, he's just neurotic.) They work perfectly! They are easy to put on, they don't hamper his walking, and now that we've applied them a few times, I can just plop him on my lap and cradle him while my partner sticks them on him.Highly recommend!!

Best alternative to declawing
These claw caps have been a sanity and furniture saver. Even with three cat towers and four scratch pads throughout the house, my cats still destroyed the couch, down to the wood frame. They've even clawed the walls of the house! I had to do something and I don't believe in declawing, so I decided to try claw caps and I'm so glad I did.As long as you can hold your cat they are easy to put on. I saw some people say the glue hurt their cats, all three of mine seem to have no reaction to the glue, but really there's no reason for the glue to get on your cat anyway, unless they wiggle a lot. They are really soft though, and one of my cats just bites the tip off most of them so he can still claw a little when he does that, but not nearly as bad as before. They don't seem to hinder the cats in anything, and they still go through the clawing motions so they do get to stretch and fulfill the urge, it just doesn't destroy everything I own in the process.Much cheaper here than from the pet stores. I don't consider my cats to be large, they're around 12 lbs but the large claw caps fit the best, so keep that in mind. Getting them the wrong size can be uncomfortable or just not work at all.

This just saved my new dining set with leather upholstery!
Let me tell you a story of my brand new dining set. We just got it about 3 weeks ago. The chairs and bench are upholstered with leather, which is what drew our attention to it. We were oblivious to the fact that this feature would nearly lead to our downfall. When we realized that our cat, Percy was digging her claws into the leather we were distraught. No matter how often we clipped his nails we'd still wake up every morning to a slew of brand new tiny holes in our new leather chairs and bench. We're not wealthy people. We moved into our apartment about 6 months ago and had no dining table until 3 weeks ago. We splurged. It was expensive. For a week after we discovered our cat's nocturnal nuisance making we were fraught with worry. Percy is a part of our family and surely he is worth more to us than any piece of furniture, but we couldn't allow this marvelous piece of workmanship to continue to be assaulted nightly. What were we to do? Then I found out about this product. I had little hope so I decided to find the cheapest ones available as they all seemed to be the same and this had decent reviews. Behold! Our conundrum has been resolved. Our furniture spared! For we have found a solution. It's pertinent that I tell you that our lovely cat, Percy, is not one to be held down for long so I was quite worried about the actual application. Surely they'd have to be done quickly or they will have failed at their one duty. They did not take long to apply at all. And here I sit, the next day, and they remain on Percy's paws. They also look pretty frickin cool. 10/10 Will buy again.

Just buy a scratch pad. It'll work better and they'll be happier.
My cat just bit them off. The adhesion is good, but the glue will get on the fur (they will move). Also, when he'd bite them off, part of his nail would always come off with it (ouch). It was just a painful process. I followed the directions and tried with two colors. That was enough. Just buy a scratch pad.

I would rather declaw then torture him like this again
I purchased these claw caps because I have a 2 year old who loves my cat. A little too much. My cat has scratched him a few times and once in the face so we decided to get these. The reviews were great and it seemed easy enough to do. We were very happy with the results. They were easy to put on and they stayed on. And stayed on. And stayed on. I am the world's biggest idiot and blame myself for not knowing better but I didn't think for a moment about the claws continuing to grow while the caps were on. It says on the instructions that the caps will fall off when the nail sheds off. The nails never shedded off. Not a single one. I bought these in December and it's now May. The caps are still on and the nails grew. Not shed, grew. Yesterday my cat was limping. We took a look and saw that one of the claws with the cap on GREW INTO HIS FOOT PAD. My tears of sadness were nothing compared to his screams of pain as we removed most of the claw with the cap still on. There is a hole in his foot pad where the claw penetrated from growing into it. This morning he wasn't limping anymore but my heart is still hurting. There needs to be a warning that says if the caps don't naturally come off within a certain amount of time that they need to be removed forcefully. I would also like to know how to remove them without causing more stress on my cat.

Bought this after failed catnip spray
My cat started clawing our new leather furniture so I bought a large cat tree and cat nip spray off Amazon. Tree is great the spray wasn't. I want struggling trying to redirect my cats attention away from my new furniture. I was fearful i wouldn't get him to stop before destroying it. I bought these in a desperate attempt to quickly stop the damage. I trim his nails with clippers then glue the tip on, easy enough. I only apply these to the front paws. I will see the occasional chewed off nail tip, and sometimes I can reglue them but they last several weeks usually. But I find that I had to religiously keep them on for a good couple of months which I think did the trick because now I still continue to trim tip of front nails with clippers but he seems to have lost interest in trying to rip up the new furniture. Thank God!! I started feeding him on his cat tree and now he sleeps on his can tree and also sharpens his claws on it. Maybe I needed to help him adjust to the change in our home. I still have 4 more packages of unopened nail tips...I would certainly recommend these.
