Sleepy Time Playsongs: Baby's Restful Day in Songs and Pictures (Playsongs) (Songbooks)

I've got the original Playsongs book and have to say I prefer that but this has some lovely little rhymes and songs for a quiet day. My boy isn't ever so quiet and prefers noisy action songs being sung to him!! The CD is great to listen to and sing along with whilst learning. My highlight has to be the Teddy's jumper rhyme for getting dressed, very fun!

Can't rate this highly enough. Original yet easy to learn songs that my children still sing now in their teens!

This is my favourite Playsongs collection because it has some beautiful songs on it that my 8-year-old loved when she was younger, that my 3-year-old likes now and, just as importantly, because I have had to keep singing along to it all these years, that I have always liked. It's got the usual brilliant mixture of tunes that you know, beautifully sung and played by Sandra Kerr, Leon Rosselson and others, so you can join in straightaway and clap along, mixed with some that are unfamiliar but short, catchy and easy to learn. The songs I sing to send my kids to sleep I've learned from this CD (along with Paul McCartney's Blackbird). I defy anyone not to be touched by One Little Dreamboat or Leon Rosselson's beautiful rendition of Counting Sheep.
