We ae located in Illinois. **Q: are these similar to thomastik infeld plectrum?** A: I've never used Plectrum strings. I usually use light gauge (12-53) strings but bought these when I wanted to try something iighter (11-50). I then went back to D'Addario light. But, I totally agree with the reviewer who says that strings are a very subjective and personal choice for guitarists. If I were you I'd buy a set of each and give them a try. Strings are by far the cheapest part of playing guitar. Good luck! **Q: What gauges are the slightly light strings?** A: 11-50…great strings, sounds so good. Picking my guitar back up after a 25 year break I thought these strings were no longer made; what a pleasant surprise to find that they are not just there, but the quality remains very high.
