Soda Stream Terra
This soda stream Terra machine works well and seems like a decent value. The kit came with 3 CO2 cartridges, but only 1 bottle. This is the 1st time I've used a home soda maker. It is very easy to use. It does not require any power to operate. The CO2 cartridge fits in the of the unit and is hidden by the cover. All the external parts are plastic, I ordered the black, which looks nice. The bottle is pushed into the unit and pushed vertical (maybe a 25° tilt to start with). No twisting or levers, again very easy. There is a button on top which adds the CO2 to the water that you already filled the bottle with (about 27 or 28 oz). You push the button and release, if you hold the button down, you will use a lot more of the CO2. It is recommended to use quick presses and multiple presses if you want higher carbonation as opposed tocprolonged presses. After carbonation you can add your flavoring. Never add the flavoring before the CO2 as it will taint future uses with the current flavoring. There is a small lineon the bottle to let you know how much water to put into the bottle. You do have to fill it to that line. I found the line hard to see, so I added a piece of colored tape to the outside of the bottle to make it easy to see when to stop filling. I also dont add flavoring to the carbonating bottle. I found that the 28oz gatorade bottles are perfect for this soda maker. I put the flavoring (about 3 tsp) into the cleaned gatorade bottle and pour the carbonated water into it. It keeps the bottle clean for the next use. I then refill the bottle with water from my reverse osmosis purifier and keep it in the fridge for my mext batch. Taste is good.I like it and it is less expensive than canned soda nowadays. There are many flavors available. So far I've done cherry pepsi and mountain dew zeros.

Should have bought this years ago!
My husband surprised me with this because I go through at least three boxes of sparkling water a week. I was skeptical at first — I didn’t think it would taste as good, since every store brand seems to taste a little different. But honestly? I was wrong. We love this thing! This bundle is a great value — it came with the machine, one bottle, and three CO₂ canisters. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out the Terra doesn’t require electricity, which makes it super portable and easy to store if you don't want it on the counter. It’s small and sleek, doesn’t take up much counter or cupboard space, and I usually just keep it tucked away until I need it. One thing - it is pretty tall and doesn't fit under any of my cupboards, so that could be a potential issue for some. The machine is easy to use — loading the CO₂ was a breeze, and SodaStream includes a great illustrated instruction book with lots of tips for making tasty drinks. I played around a bit to figure out my ideal level of carbonation, and now I’ve got it just right. I mostly drink unflavored soda water, and it’s crisp, refreshing, and exactly how I like it.Bonus:-The bottle is dishwasher safe-The machine wipes down easily-There are smaller bottles available if you want extrasWe’ve also had fun making homemade drinks like mimosas (yes, we carbonated orange juice!), and cherry soda using real cherries. But for everyday use, just plain sparkling water hits the spot. We’ve had it for a couple of months, and we’re still on the first CO₂ canister — even with regular use. No issues with spraying, leaks, or messes. And I’ve definitely already saved money compared to my weekly sparkling water habit. If you’re even a little bit tempted, I say go for it. This thing pays for itself quickly and makes the experience way more fun.

Just bubbles no syrup
I had one of the first SodaStreams which did not work with the new drinking and dishwasher safe bottles or CO2 canisters. I purchased this"kit" believing it was the best bang for my buck and an adapter to convert old screw in CO2 canisters to new quick connect style... I am pleased it all works and again I have sparkling water.

Love my SodaStream
Works well, oh so easy to use and set up. The CO2 tanks are exchangeable everywhere. The tanks are light but last a long time. I save a lot of money and aluminum by using my SodaStream rather than buying cans of seltzer water at the store.

Won't save money but better for the environment
New user so wanted to warn to be sure you have the bottle seated correctly and not to go over the fill line. I filled it to the line, and then did not realize on the first attempt it was not seated correctly- loads of exploding water mess :) Once I looked up a video to see how much of a "gap" they were referring to, no issues. 100% user error. I was happily surprised this did not require electricity to use, makes sense since the it is just the CO2 gas creating those bubbles and you are just releasing it. Had a snafu with the syrups, but used some flavoring I had here for water (Mio). I am happy with the results. Initially, I thought this would benefit the environment and save me money in the long term, but I've since lowered expectations about the savings. By the time you get your CO2 tanks and flavorings, it is roughly the same cost of soda on sale. Still, my main purpose was to save plastic bottles, as I go through a ton of them. You can subscribe on the Soda Stream site to send your empty bottles back for a refill, which offers both cost savings and is better for the environment. So far, I like the purchase and there is a fresher taste to the product when you make it at home versus buying soda from the grocer.

So easy and cost effective!
I used to have a different carbonated water making system but it was messy, didn't work well, and was a pain to clean. I wish I had bought a SodaStream back when I purchased that system! The Terra is SOOOO easy to use. Setup literally took 20 seconds (just installing the CO2 canister) and making a bottle of sparkling water (which is about 2 of the bottles of ICE) takes even less. My kiddo and I love the Sparkling ICE waters so we use a variety of water enhancers for flavor (e.g., Mio) to get something similar. After we finished our first CO2 canister, I did a cost analysis of how many bottles of ICE I would get for the number bottles this will fizz up and the "cost per bottle" for the same amount of SodaStream drink just with this starter kit was a little less than half - and that's including the flavorings! Now the only time we purchase an ICE is when we're on vacation.

lose his fizz, quick cheap, not quality Pepsi garbage flavor don’t get it
it’s pretty much junk. Where do I start opening up the package? It’s all sealed perfect protected the parts. The plastic panels on it are coming off so the quality of the quality control not that great durability not decorate. It comes with one bottle three CO2 containers you put the CO2 in the back of the machine. You just take your bottle and you push it up in there with the water in it and press it I would do it maybe five times sure it makes it great. It sucks that I can’t get Coke flavor cause Pepsi really just sucks my opinion. The flavoring of Pepsi is just not that great so the next problem after about 24 hours fizz is completely gone no matter how tight you have the bottle cap it does have a little rubber gasket on it, but it just goes flat so put it back in pump it once or twice to get that fizz back. It’s good but the flavor is not that great. It’s even Worse so my stepdaughter likes bubbly so she likes the bubbly. It’s good but again it goes flat within it could be 12 hours. I don’t know but typically about 24 hours is when after we make it and we drink some and we put it in the fridge and it comes back out. It’s flat. I don’t understand if you have a bottle that you open up on a 2 L bottle or a 1 L bottle and you close the cap it should stay fist. It doesn’t get flat but it does in these bottles. I went and bought some other bottles from the company same problem. Understand that you’re not gonna be able to return this item. This is a non-returnable item they won’t swap it out. They won’t do anything you’re stuck with this item. They did refund it cause I had to call in and complain about it, but they gave me a hard time about it. I wouldn’t recommend this product because of the customer service and I’m sure the return problem is really due to the CO2 bottles. But I think the product is really bad even the sprite, but it’s forget the name of it. It’s really not that good. The flavor is really just kind of bad. The bubbly is OK. I did try it with some mio it’s a little better but the fizz the problem and the quality of the plastic is just junk. I just donated to Goodwill. I just dropped it off this afternoon. I don’t know come on Pepsi. Can’t you make a better product? It’s just absolute garbage. I’m glad I got my money back after complaining about it. I don’t know if there’s a different brand out there but it’s sad that we can’t have Coca-Cola Pepsi. Just sucks.

Excellent
is easy to assemble and to use and makes sparkling water in seconds. Its compact, modern design looks great on the countertop. I also like being able to control the carbonation level. It’s a convenient way to enjoy sparkling water at home while reducing the number of cans and bottles I buy. Overall, it’s a great product and a worthwhile purchase.
