This improved model is great, mostly because of the chargeable internal battery rather than the stupid AAs in the Innotab 2. We just gave up putting batteries in and ran it from the mains. This one is fab. Games and software is maybe a bit limited for older kids but ideal for our 3 and 5 year old. We haven't used the web browser or messaging service as not really needed. My son's has taken a he'll of a battering and hasn't broken.
