DTD - Height adjustable standing desk riser with sliding keyboard tray, 47-Inch, (Large size, Black)

I REALLY wanted to love this standing desk. It was my first purchase attempt at any standing desk and I was pretty happy at first.Pro: It's very easy to raise and lower with the handles, and large work surfaceCon: I feel like I would have been a little frustrated over time with those handles being accessible through a hole in the surface. I like to sprawl with my work, and I'm certain they would have been covered. Then I'd shove things aside to access them.Pro: Stable. I had no worries about this falling, collapsing, or tippingCon: Keyboard tray is TINY and not practical for a keyboard and mouse both. I returned the desk because the keyboard tray broke off. I learned that I really like having the tray, but I wanted a larger one anyhow, to the extent that I was going to try to expand the surface area so I could use a full-size keyboard and still have room for my mouse. Didn't get that far before it brokePro: fully assembled out of the boxSo, for me, while this has some nice Pros, the Cons far outweighed them. If they redo the design and move the handles and strengthen and expand the keyboard tray, I would love it. I'm currently using a different brand (FlexiSpot) which is pretty good. I think I'd rate it 4/5 FYI, maybe 4.5. I wish it had a sliding keyboard tray like the DTD has. DTD really has a great idea but they need to improve the final quality.

I am very new to the concept of the standing desk and was inspired by the book "Deskbound" which claims that sitting for the majority of the day is the "new smoking" in its health risks. Now that I have used the desk for two months, I must confess, first, that I never put the desk down for the sitting position. So, this means that I never have to adjust the height. When finding the right height initially I found that having the monitors on top can be a bit precarious while you are finding the right height, but I imagine that would be a problem with any adjustable desk. Other than that, moving it up and down was very easy and had plenty of stop points to find the right height. The desk is sturdy and well made and dramatically cheaper than the big names. The surface is the perfect size for me to fit two monitors, a docking station, laptop, and mouse pad, leaving ample space for a working surface as well. There's space for me to have the wireless keyboard up on top, too, so I actually reserve the slide out keyboard tray for my planner. I found that using the tray for my keyboard forced me to stand back further from the desk than was comfortable for me, but that's just a personal preference. This was the only standing desk on Amazon that had a short enough base to fit on my existing desk surface, and I am very happy that in spite of the smaller base, it sits very solidly on my desk. I am very pleased with my purchase! I also invested in a soft standing mat ("Sky Mat", also on Amazon) for my feet which seems like a "must have" to survive the conversion from sitting to standing!

So far I'm standing all day every day. I'm 4"11" and was able to easily raise and lower the desk with all of my "stuff" on it.You do need to read the instructions and follow them. The Key board tray IS a bit small and I don't have full function of my Logitech Ergonomic Key board without fully extending the shelf out. I'm betting the keyboard shelf will break if I'm not careful. It's a bit flimsy and I've heard some creaks and pops from the rail holding it. I use a trackball, so the mouse isn't an issue.I'm dancing a lot! Would have given it 5 starts except for the keyboard shelf.

Really love this desktop, it has been especially helpful after back surgery and I am not supposed to sit for very long periods of time. The only thing I would change is the ease/weight of changing it's position. My husband has to do this since you feel the weight of the items on it. But great item!!

This WORKS!Swapping workstation height needs between my wife at 4’11” and me at 6’4” is so simple.Also, we both love raising the workstation a bit higher to work in the standing position.Thank You for this great product.

This standing desk comes ready to use right out of the box! No assembly required which was great. We now have 3 in our office and have more people asking for them. We will be purchasing more soon.

Very disappointed. Arrive damaged. The keyboard tray is cracked and is disconnected from pull out hardware. Not happy at all. Since it is a pain to send back, I will try to fix/replace keyboard tray myself.
