These are just stiff panels of felt, but, they actually do the job. They're not completely sound-deadening, but they did take the edges off the compressor noise reflecting off the walls around my refrigerator and stopped it from being intrusive. I don't feel the need to replace the fridge for several more years now.

My husband and I both work from home. I could hear him too much through his office door so I stuck these to the back side of his door with double sided foam tape and it works well. Muffles the sound nicely. Still noticeable noise but much better for the price. I initially used removable glue dots and all of the panels fell off overnight so used 3M indoor removable double sided mounting tape and it’s held up for several weeks now.

Thick material has lots of tiny fissures to absorb sound like a sponge. The beveled edges give a finished look, too. Panels were easy to cut to size with a table saw (straight cuts) and band saw for curved cuts. The nails included were helpful, but I used a drill press to make holes for screws to mount the panels around the studio. The white panels blended well with the white painted walls, making the panels less noticeable.
