Pilot G2 Premium Gel Ink Pen Refills

Just backgound: I'm a SERIOUS "pen person" who's accustomed to writing with fountain pens---not because I'm snooty, but because I write a LOT. (Good fountain pens really make the physical acts of writing just so easy/smooth/enjoyable.) I *finally* got tired of dealing with those of-persnickety pens and nib, so, I decided to try a "gel rollerball."WOW! Okay--you know those Pilot G-2 pens? These "Execugels" take the same refills, but they somehow seem to "feel" better/smoother when writing. Maybe it's because I detest the feel (in the hand) of those big, bulky, just-TOO-plastic G-2s? Or, maybe a sort of placebo effect? Well, these are MUCH nicer-looking, anyway, so I recommend these whole-heartedly! (And they really don't go through ink quickly at all--in my experience, at least--as one reviewer noted.)

This pen is made to hold the .05 ink refills, but I personally prefer writing with the .37 inks. They generally fit, but are a little bit shaky due to the fact that it’s a tiny bit thinner. That little difference in size is what makes it not a perfect fit. I don’t think it disrupts my writing, unless I’m focused on it.

This DOES NOT COME WITH THE PEN!!! Forget the picture, it still clearly states in the current description “ + execugel pen” and mentions it twice. All that arrives is the ink refill. No pen!! But the cheaper refills elsewhere since you’re not getting the pen here.

Yes the pen is amazing. It fits all the G2 refills. I really like the bold point.
