**Q: I want to buy a dog that has a microchip, but I do not want to pay a $99.00 activation fee. Do I have to pay for this?**
A: You might be talking about the vet fee. My vet charges $120. To chip dogs. I thought it was way to much so I looked online and I was surprised how cheap was to buy the chip. I was wondering why the vet would charge that much. So I'm buying this and bringing it to another vet.

**Q: Is this 15 digits for travel to Europe?**
A: Yes, this microchip is the 15 digit ISO and will work for travel to Europe.

**Q: is the microchip ISO 11784/11785 compliant?**
A: I did find this: " HomeAgain is compliant with the ISO Standards, under Annex 2.1 of Standard 11785. ", however if this is of a concern for you it would be best to give the company a call.  They would be your best source.

**Q: how exactly does it work? is it just a normal microchip or does it track your dogs location when lost or stollen?**
A: It is a normal microchip. It is implanted by your vet and is invisible identification. If you lose your you do and it is picked up by Animal Control , taken to a local shelter or taken to a Vet and is scanned the microchip # is identified and they call the company to get the owner info. I highly recommend all cats and dogs be microchipped! It can save their life!
