i am known to be a crazy camper in back in my days. I would love to use this type of ground cloth it does have 2 types of functions either as a ground cover if not a top cover. I have read and watched survival shows and thinking of my youth liter the pack the liter the weight. not all packs are the same and some sleeping bags don't fit in some tents and not all ground tarps matches the bases of the tents. just need a nice non rocky bedding and this on top would keep you dry from the ground. if in the air this an a nice roof should divert the rain water from hitting you. and plus you can us it as an emergency poncho with some rope.

I got this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. When I got this blanket, I was pretty excited about it. It is a very pretty blanket and I was looking forward to using it on our big camping trip this year. The blanket is so pretty. The design on it is wonderful. I love that the blanket folds up into itself, and makes a nice bag. It is easy to carry around and takes up very little space. It is a bit tricky to get folded back into the bag shape, but if you keep at it eventually it'll go. The look of it, and the ability to fold up as it does, though, is NOT the reason I got the blanket. I needed to know, does this blanket actually work? The material it is made of, certainly looks and feels like it will repel water. I put a little bit of water on my wood floor and laid down the blanket on top of it to test. The big thing to note here, is that the bottom truly is waterproof! However, when water gets on the siding, it will soak through to the water 'resistant' top, and that will become as wet as there is water around it. If you are using that somewhere that is a bit damp and you don't have a spot that is only wet in the middle of where you put the blanket, then you are going to get wet. Now, I haven't had the chance to use the blanket on sand, so I don't know how well it cleans up from that point, but I will still be using this blanket on our camping trip. When it gets a bit of actual use, I will be updating this review.
