Review: Worthy change - I have a 2018 Denali HD 3500 SRW short bed with a 60 gallon aux tank in the bed, airlift bags in the back... That being said, I have a 24' pontoon boat, a 24' enclosed trailer for my RZR/ATV, an open deck car hauler, 30' bumper pull toy hauler, and an equipment trailer. I tow a lot. My truck pretty much always has a trailer on it or a couple thousand lbs payload of fuel and stuff/tools. The truck came with the Rancho deals and has ~70k miles. I proactively swapped these in because the old shocks were irritating and ride was fading. So install was a breeze. You need a pair of 21mm to take all of the factory stuff off and a 19mm or 3/4" to put the new fronts on. Install was for me, very very straightforward. Everything was very easy to access. The old shocks had ZERO signs of not being any good. They pressed out when unbolted, no leaks, no holes in the body, etc. Once they were installed, there seemed to be a bit more initial jounce/harshness, but it's just a more precise road feel which was nice in hindsight. The ride is more consistent and precise than the old shocks. These trucks just do not have much up-travel in the back. Speed bumps can find the bump stops pretty easily in the stock Rancho configuration, but the new setup has a much more progressive valving, which alleviated this issue for me. As the suspension compresses, there is more resistive force applied. The old shocks feel like there's a set valve rate and it just does it's consistent thing. These ones apply more valve as they stroke through the motion. This feeling is VERY comforting while towing the boat because the tongue tries to fly around. The new shocks bring the boat trailer under control where bouncing turns used to be pretty wild. I've not put the heavy (10k+) trailers on yet so no feedback on those, but those are usually tamed not by shocks, but more around the bags. The big trailer runs 40-60PSI in the bags which takes away all of the bounce. I will update the review if the heavy trailers change anything. All in all in summary, these shocks might not be worth the extra $ over anything else, but they're really good. There's no stunning-remarkable difference from the factory Rancho shocks I took off, but they seem more stable, better light-feel, better jounce control, better compression progressive control.
Review: Best you can get - Felt like a new ride after installing these on my 2018 Chevy 2500 wt. they will fit stock height and included the top side hardware. They are a little stiff but are better than the bilstein 4600s and definitely better than the ranchos. In my opinion these are the best you can get without a reservoir.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will these fit a stock 2012 3500hd 6.6l single cab 4x4**
A: Put mine on a stock 2016 Sierra 2500 HD 4x4. Not sure if the shock set up is the same as yours. The ride is a great improvement over stock

**Q: 2500hd gmc reg. cab long box. 4x4 do mostly pavement driving truck is stock. am i better off with 4600 than the 5100? potholes still hurt.**
A: I truly do love my 5100’s far better than my stock shocks, the ride doesn’t beat you around and when you do hit a pothole they are smooth and tolerable. If you can put the extra investment I would. My son has FOX 2.0s and he wants my 5100’s! Good luck you won’t be disappointed;)

**Q: Will this fit a 2015 chev Silverado 2500 standard cab**
A: I don't see why they wouldn't . I have them in my '14 2500HD and the suspension is pretty much, the same.
They made a huge difference in my ride.

**Q: I installed a suspension maxx 2 in leveling kit will spacers be needed in order to use these shocks in the front end**
A: 2 inch increase may be a bit much. I leveled my. 2500 just with the bar adjustments and don’t have an issue but I can’t say for sure how much I raised the front end
