Great retrofit for an inexpensive white LED light.
Had a failed 50w white LED floodlight and needed a bright blue light for a project - so I thought I'd replace the original LED chip and see what happened. The result was a very bright blue light that seems quite reliable!The only thing that tricked me was that while the light is very bright, it wasn't as bright as I expected from it's previous brightness with the white LED chip - then I realized the human eye is less sensitive in blue light than white light...
