Brilliant book, learned a lot from it even though I've been reading about the Battle since I was a kid. I love the photo of the 1 Squadron pilots taken outside their mess during the battle of France who look like a bunch of trained killers, but with a note underneath the photo "Note two of the pilots are wearing carpet slippers"! Would recommend

Victory 1940
Truly superb with high quality images in both colour and B&W. Printed in the UK(WALES) to a very high standard. Best I have seen. Famous images some you have may have seen before which have been superbly restored to a give greater impact. Also includes images I have never seen before. Essential for the bookshelf of anyone interested in the Battle of Britain.

Very well researched and presented in a easy to read format
Bought Davids Book on release at Newark. What a real Corker of a release this is from Dave. Very well researched and presented in a easy to read format. Dave puts you in nodoubt during the reading that your firmly in the 'Cold War Hey-Days' of RAF Wildenrath and places you in Both Front and Rear Seats of the Iconic War Machine that once served the RAF with Distinguished Flare and Brute Force the Phabulous Phantom. This book takes us on a Journey of Dave's recollections of what it was like to serve on 92Sqn during the tense and crowed skies above Western Germany and Patrolling the East/West Front during those times, with interesting accounts of The Phantom FGR.2 in RAFG in the Air Defence Role ,Battle Flight, Squadron Operations in 80/90s this superb book has got it all wrapped up in one superb book. I highly recommend this book to any Cold War Fan and it's a Certain for any Phantom Fans alike it's a great insight into RAFG operations.

5-star illustrated book of the B-of-B is a snip at this price
This large 224-page landscape-format book is a beautiful piece of work co-authored by John Dibbs and Australian-born Tony Holmes, aviation editor of Osprey Books since 1989.Structured in chronological and themed chapters, the book is predominantly a photographic record of this historic landmark conflict in 1940. Archive photos in monochrome and early colour film from the period are augmented by high-def colour images of restored aircraft currently in flying condition, and some excellent aviation-art imagery. The text of the 11 chapters is brief and punchy, literate and completely typo-free.For the price, this very high quality piece of work is something of a bargain. Key Publishing has managed to deliver this superb book for £20, a remarkable achievement considering what’s on offer here.

Beautiful book about dramatic history
This book shows both sides of the battle of britain in an - as far a s possible - "beautiful" way with nicely laid out pictures, graphics and text stories of the opponents. Of course "beautiful" is relative because the real developments were highly dramatic and have cost lives on all sides, but the spirit of all aviators involved is transported in a way that leaves the reader with some impression how it might have been seen by persons back then. Recommended for the Aviation enthusiast with a focus on europe in 1940.
