Bodum Spare Filter Mesh - 12 Cup

Revived a tired cafetière to work like new. Easy to replace, and much more environmentally friendly to repair than buying a new one.I was surprised to find out that our one-mug-sized model was officially a “three cup” press. Who knew!

Don't be tempted to be ecologically responsible and buy only the filter. It is rubbish.At first it seemed OK if very expensive but now after less than a month of once daily use it has gone out of shape and developed spiky bits around the edge. I am also finding grounds stuck to the edge which will not easily rinse off.It is a bit suspicious that one filter is purported to fit more than one size cafetiere. Mine is an 8 cup, one litre size and the filter seems a bit too large - anyway it is the quality that is at issue here and it is simply not good enough! More to the point on amazon a Bodum Kenya 8 cup cafetiere, which I have just bought, costs not much more than £1 over the price of this poorly made filter!

I have a La Cafetierre 12 cup , at least 25 years old, and wanted to bring it back into use. Researched replacements to death until I found this. This replacement filter fits perfectly, and is an exact match size wise for the original. Very pleased.

I bought three of these for my three cafetieres as the meshes on all were wearing and the hole in the middle does not fit ANY of them. It would not be so bad if the fit was too loose, but it is not. It is too small a hole so they are useless to me and I would suggest they are not made to replace but to drive you to buy new cafetieres. I am most disappointed. I would rate them no stars but that is not a possibility.

Its expensive but if you can't get one locally because all the department stores that used to carry stock have closed down then you don't have much choice. It does what it says ie it prevents most of the coffee grinds from getting in your cup/mug.

The filter arrived on time and certainly looked better than the old one. Unfortunately it didn't work any better, as the coffee grounds continue to squeeze past the edge of the filter. It looks as if we are going to either get used to grounds in our coffee or buy a brand new press can. Not so sure that I would go for Bodum next time though.

This is a replacement filter for our Bodum Cafetiere. We have bought other replacement filters but they have not lasted long and the quality was poor. We've yet to know, how long this one will last but so far so good.Transaction was smooth with no problems.

It works really well and is a huge relief after years of the old mesh - a bit pricey, tho'.
