Works with SPD cleats
Nice pedal uses SPD cleats as well as the Look cleats. This was important to me as I have other bikes with SPD's. The pedals have a wider platform so my shoe has more support. These have more float as well and it is smoother then my SPD's. I use Speedplay pedals on my road bikes and these feel close to them so they make a good match up on my gravel bike. I have not tried the Look cleats with them so I can't say how they will feel with them. They are some what stiff in rotation due to the seals but have loosened up a bit. Can't comment on durability as I have not had them long enough.

YOU are NOW CONNECTED to your pedals!
Took off the Crank Bros. Candys and put on the LOOKS (carbon), and baby I was OFF to the races! I did a healthy spin around the neighborhood on my Pivot Full suspension 29er and felt wonderfully attached to the pedals with a pleasant degree of float with each foot. I never even made any adjustments on the tension before doing the ride and it felt perfect. I will be reporting back with an update on the performance of these pedals at a later date. So far....? Get these little guys, baby!

Great Look product
I was on crank bros candy 3 pedals for 2 seasons. Got tired of the bearings not lasting at the constant issues with vertical play on pedal stroke. These being SPD compatible peaked my interest as having something most others use to swap bikes or if you need cleats would be convenient. They are easy to get into, wide range of adjustments on release, the wide platform feels super stable. Think I've found my new favorite mtb pedals.

Performance comparable to Shimano XT Pedals, some positives, some negatives
In terms of performance, these pedals do not spin as freely as my Shimano XT pedals do, but the company claims better efficiency associated with the larger platform. I can't feel the difference (positive or negative) on the bike, so perhaps the efficiency losses of the higher bearing/bushing drag in the Look pedals is offset by the efficiency gain with the more stable platform. No durability problems thus far, but only a couple of hundred miles on them. Biggest pro for these was that they were immediately available whereas the Shimano XT pedals would have taken weeks to get either through my LBS or Amazon. Would I buy them for another bike or get Shimano pedals next time? I would probably just buy the Shimano pedals if availability and pricing were similar.
