Tony Dixon DX001D High D Whistle

Bought this and a low d whistle from 1to1 and really like them both. Nice sound, light and easily playable.Royal mail were awful as expected but seller/Bernard was brilliant. Fast responses and a pleasant person.Will definitely use 1to1 again.Thanks guys.

This is a great little instrument which is well made and has a lovely tone. The price is not too high, I have paid more for a whistle from a well known manufacturer and this is easily as comparible for tone and pitch quality. I would highly recommend it.

Tony Dixon whistles are good, this one is too

A great wee whistle.In tune with its self with minimal breath requirements. The polymer gives it a purer tone than brass whistles and also means it doesn't need to be warmed up before playing. A great starter whistle.

These are excellent whistles at an affordable price. Plastic but easy on the eye. But it’s about performance, not appearance. Which is good. Easy to blow, crisp clear notes - doesn’t clog easily. An excellent choice for beginners and experts alike.

Lightweight yet strong, good upper range. 💪 I can recommend it to anyone......

Well! its simplicity and accurate intonation make it just perfect. So minimalisitic yet so useable in the session context. Whistlers!!!! you need one of these even if you have a plethora of posh whistles. I found it satisfactorily* accurate through its whole range of notes when checked with a tuner. Tone perfectly acceptable. Get one before they become difficult to get. [I have no idea if this scarcity will happen but it often does with great items and then you kick yourself.]* not perfect but which whistle ever is!!? Even a Copeland has its problems. But, as we all know, the western scale is less than perfect anyway and is just a compromise. So it is as near as you could hope for.

This whistle has a great sound and is great value for money. As a relative beginner this is the best of four whistles i have purchased so far.
