Duct tape is more effective
These traps are easy to use and some of them caught one or two silverfish. We found that putting duct tape down around the edges of a room with the sticky side face up was much more effective and much cheaper. The duct tape has caught dozens and works well providing you don't have small children or pets who are going to step on it.
