Absolutely brilliant return to form by Twin Shadow - worth it alone for 18 Years and Little Woman (check out the intro to this. It sounds like he's channelling the start of Bartok's 2nd Violin Concerto! Beautiful textures). He's really embedded the 80s influences that threatened to overwhelm his last into something organic and contemporary.

This music is cleverer than my ability to understand it fully, if this bollocks makes any sense. It's out of my immediate comfort zone which is one of its big appeals to me. I'm always looking for music to break into and this Twin Shadow album defo fits into this category. How are musicians like George Lewis Jr so inventive and clever when it comes to stringing together so many different sounds into a coherent album, no idea personally. And the album is beautifully recorded and sounds fantastic with the equally fantastic kit I use, some very naughty bits of bass around and about.
