Someone Else's Wedding

Another brilliant book by Ms Cohen
A poignant yet brilliant book that deals with a lot of difficult issues in a sensitive, believable way. The main action of the story takes place over a weekend when the main protagonists are attending a wedding. There are a lot of twists and turns along the way to a dramatic finale. Although a lot of the subject matter was difficult, I still enjoyed this book and would recommend Tamar/Tammy Cohen books.

Not a Thriller
I loved The Mistresses Revenge, and equally When She Was Bad, but this one was a bit of a let down. Don't get me wrong it was skillfully written and interesting, but I didn't get the same thrill as the other two, hence only 4 stars. However I will be buying the rest of her books.

Don't bother.
Tired predictable stereotypes. If Fran can't be bothered to stick up for herself why should I bother to read about her. Absolute doormat. Annoying predictable portrait of an older woma.

Impressed
I hadnt read this author before and im not really sure now why i chose her although im glad i did. I bought 3 of hers (used copies) at once and i am very impressed with this one. Easy to read, lovely style of writing, pageturner, a sense of building up to something which lead to something unexpected. Very good.

Great Read.
This writer I have newly discovered knows how to write a novel, full of tension, simmering suspense and tender emotional unravellings. All over a weekend at a country house wedding. This book fizzes with underlying issues and anxieties..suppressed feelings and misunderstandings! The author brings each character to life with all their emotional baggage...and it is a gripping drama with great insight..Will be reading more of her books.

Another good read from this author
I love Tamar Cohen's books and this didn't disappoint. Would recommend for a good read about modern family life. I felt really involved in the story and kept switching my opinion on who was behaving well and who was not.

Preferred others by this author
Not as good as he Mistress's Revenge or The War of The Wives in my opinion. OK read but that's all..I am not one for stories of miscarriages or women unable to get pregnant.

Brilliant and absorbing
Another unsettling and brilliantly absorbing novel from Tamar Cohen. I couldn't put it down and read it in 2 days. A great portrayal of a difficult situation with believable well drawn characters and some shocking unexpected twists. I have pre-ordered her next novel already!!
