Everything's fine
The package arrived safely, I was worried about the cd as they tend to break during deliveries but it didn't. So I'm happy with the purchase, it was cheaper this way than buying from a local store, thank you.

Great album
Great album, great variety of music with great Guest artists. Vinyl gives a nice warm sound. Wish I could have been there.

An awesome overview of a great band with all the key players
This is a fabulous live concert & a master stroke to get their most important past players participating including Anneke who is virtually on every track & is like a dream come true. Its also great to see Hugo Geerligs back on bass for most tracks & Bart singing clean & also some growling (which I'm not so keen on a couple of tracks). It starts off strongly with 'Saturnine' gets more interesting for 'Strange Machines' with Anneke singing and some great sampled speech then dips a bit with 'Meltdown' but truly becomes majestic with 'Nighttime Birds' which simply soars 1st with magnificent percussion then with wonderful keyboards, guitar & singing from Anneke. The next 2 tracks have Barts screeching style (which I understand as they are attempting to showcase all the styles) which could have been limited to 1 & have the 2nd in clean vocals because he has great clean vox. For this reason I prefer cd2 which has a better continuity of singing style.Anyway from here on almost all tracks attain the majestic & its hard not to love this band whohave released so much good/brilliant music the years & there live act is always excellent & consummate with slight nuances to the studio versions of the tracks which only adds to the listening experience & in some cases like Broken Glass & Even the Spirits are Afraid are better to my ears.I would have awarded 5 stars if both nights of the concert were released & if there was some much longer improvisionary coda or section to a song, to really hear a transfixed workout, however, having said that the audience is at a much better volume as opposed to 'A noise Severe' where they were obtrusive and very annoying. There is some excellent trumpet playing on a couple of tracks (Heroes for Ghosts & where Silje's singing is outstanding) that really add a calming note & some great theremin work as well.If this is a valedictory album it is a wonderful testament to a truly accomplished & inspired band & a terrific farewell & fans can only be truly happyand satisfied with this 2cd live set :)
