In 2002 Marion and I decided that it was time to do our own thing so we opened a gift shop in the lovely market town of Hexham in Northumberland. Around the same time Marion was "leading" glassware as a hobby, within two years and with much persuasion, she was selling her own product in our shop. This really gave her the confidence to pursue Wildflower Studio full-time so we sold the shop and took the next big step. Marion became a genuine cottage industry and our home was never to be the same again. Marion continues to develop her glass designs and colour combinations with input and suggestions from customers old and new. Now even technophobes like us have ventured into the internet shopping age with Mackintosh And More, which is a new concept for us, where we hope to bring the things we love to sell to a much wider audience.
