These polarized bifocal sunglasses by Ideal Eyewear are great for reading outdoors, tying on your lure while fishing, marking the scorecard during a round of golf, or anything where you want to see up close while still protecting your eyes from the sun. These polarized bifocal sunglasses are particularly good for fishing, as the Polarized lenses block the glare of the water, and the bifocal lens lets you easily see up close while you tie on your lure. Or, maybe you'll want to read while your waiting for the fish to bite! They are great for golf too, as the polarized lenses make it much easier to track a golf ball in flight, and the bifocal lenses come in handy when it's time to mark the scorecard. These are like two pairs of glasses in one!

Good product for old fisherman
If you're old and need glasses just for close up work, these work well at a reasonable price. When i'm fishing in the high mountains of New Mexico, I need these to tie clear fishing line knots. Previously priced polarized bifocal glasses in resort town. Cheapest pair they had was over $100. Thought it better to get several pair of these much less expensive glasses that work almost as good while fishing. It's not difficult to lose them or break them in the mountains. This happens, and there must be a Murphy's Law that say it will happen when you're 40 miles to nearest town

Stupid looking and waste of money!!!!
These sunglasses were a JOKE! I have previously had sunglasses that were bifocal. Meaning the lenses were like regular bifocals, ones that were integrated into the lens. They looked like normal sunglasses, only you had the convenience of being able to read things easily. I could not tell from the picture, had never seen anything like these, but they have a little CIRCLE CUT OUT OF THE SUNGLASS LENS AND AN INSERTION OF A CLEAR LENS THAT IS THE BIFOCAL PART. THEY LOOK LIKE CLOWN GLASSES!!!! The glasses themselves are large, feel cheaply made and certainly nothing you could wear in public without looking freakish!!! I threw them away. Will never buy anything from that vendor again.

These are definitely NOT polarized or polycarbonate
Pros: the small inset lense for magnification is just the right sie and location so that it's invisible when you're looking straight ahead or up and completely fills your view when you look down at something in your hands. It is very effective. And for the record, the inset lense is clear. They are very comfortable, and I really like the fact that the string on the back is permanently attached to the glasses. I work outside doing carpentry and fish and boat in my glasses, so I'm always looking down or up or at weird angles and my glasses keepers seems to always slip off at just the wrong time.Cons: I thought the price might be too good to be true for genuine polarized glasses, and these are definitely not polarized. They are also definitely not polycarbonate either, so despite the side shields these are not suitable as shatter proof eye protection if that's what you're looking for..If you are looking for the "safety glasses" effect of actual polycarbonate and/or really need polarization to cut glare, then do not buy these glasses. If you just need really comfortable, highly functional cheap sunglasses with the magnifier lense, then these are a good choice.

Just Right
Not only are these sunglasses lightweight and comfortable but I don't even have to take my reading glasses into the stores with me anymore. I just put the sunglasses back on, read the print, and then take them off. They also come on a nice "around the nect" tie rope so that I always know where they are and I don't have to put them away each time I need to use them. Another great thing is that even when I sweat, they do not slide off my nose. So far there are no negatives about these sunglasses. I have three other types of reader sunglasses but these are definitely my favorites.

I love the side shades
I have only had these glasses for a few days, but have used them for driving and fishing. The only complaint I have is that the retainer can not be adjusted in length but it is no big deal. A knot will work. I love the side shades ,the bifocals and the fact that they are noticeably light. They replace a pair that wore out, which cost at least 8 times more ,and am hard pressed to to say were better. I like these better than the very expensive ones.

I especially like the clear bifocal inserts which allow me to read ...
At the price, these polarized sunglasses are hard to beat. I had an identical pair for several years. The plastic lenses developed bubbles so I ordered a pair to replace them. I especially like the clear bifocal inserts which allow me to read my chart plotter and sonar while still wearing the polarized lenses. Also,I can tie knots in fine leaders. They fit well and cover a wide viewing angle.

I like 'em. Not perfect but very helpful.
They work good and are very helpful when fishing however they do take some getting used to. I had problems getting a little headache the first day I used them but the built in tether allowed me to just drop them off my face for a while and recover. They are not the best quality lenses but I still prefer using them due to the convenience of having the built in readers. Looking through the lenses and having the round inserts may also contribute to some distraction since these are a little in your lower field of view. You can get used to them and I use them every day on the lake. Give 'em a try and I think you'll be happy as I am.

Essential for bird watching!
I love them. I lost my first pair and had to get another. I need the bifocals for reading my iPhone when I am out in the field birdwatching. The bifocal lens are clear so it's easier to see the phone screen. It's impossible with polarized lenses. I take off the sunglasses when I use my binoculars and the retention cord makes it easy. The side lenses protect the sides of my eyes as I am out in the sun for hours at a time. Only recommendation is a hard case to keep them in for safe keeping.

The bifocals are on the right place with a good angle. Good style and design
The hinges on this glasses are not strong enough. Double hinges would be adequate. The bifocals are on the right place with a good angle.Good style and design. But the hinges to weak!
