Its a tad bit flimsy but firm enough to hold through mild rain. Really loved the automatic close but it can get rather in the way if your not closing it in an open area. Many times while coming in my door has it hit the side wall or panel of the door as I close it in coming with me. Its pretty much the only real downside of thos umbrella also with its automatic closing its a bit flimsy but decent for what its needed. The span is only for ONE person. Its hard to share this umbrella ... one person will end up wet.
