Uber Volume 6

One of my favourite comics. I rate it as highly as Garth Ennis' best work, and that is a the greatest praise I can bestow on any comic book.The comic doesn't shy away from showing the horrific consequences of soldiers with superhuman abilities in a real world setting. This isn't Captain America punching Hitler. In the Uber-verse, the heroes are just as likely to die screaming as the bad guys. Civilians and POW's are slaughtered in their millions, and even the best people carry out terrible acts. Because the alternative is even worse.

Probably the best series I've read. Tops the excellent LOW and Lazarus. It more than accurately reflects the win at all costs attitude of all sides in the WWII, and differently from other dystopian stories about a potential win of the Nazis it describes, what is more plausible, a total scorched earth approach - don't expect a somewhat "Men in the High Castle" post-Nazi-win world
