The effect is fantastic!
I often travel abroad. A multifunctional converter with multiple plug adapters is required. I took it all over Southeast Asia for two months and it worked perfectly with all my electronics and hair straighteners. I like how small and compact it is

Buyer Beware - Unpredictable
I bought this product twice, and both times I had unusual results. First time, purchase in Fall of 2018, used this item in South Africa. One night I unplugged my phone from the USB charging cable and the charge cable end (phone end), contacted the stove top and fried the transformer(smokey smell) and tripped the 220/240V circuit breaker in two hotel rooms. I thought it was my fault, but did not realize what the issue was (I think), until I purchased it a second time to go to New Zealand. Second time, purchased in Dec 2019, my daughters and wife both tried using the USB charge feature and received shocks when touching the phone plug end.. Granted, the USB current is very low, but it is still a hot lead. I suspect if I touched it to a grounded object, it would fry again. When I touch the USB end when I use phone charging cables in the US, you get no shock. Note, this device is ETL certified, not UL certified which is what most US electrical appliances use. UL has stricter guidelines. I will not speculate on what I believe, all I can say is it appears that voltage is always on when the USB cable is plugged in (at least when in a foreign country) and the switch is turned on. Kind of like how homes are wired. (however you can not touch the home wiring without plugging in a male plug). One last comment, I tried to reproduce the shock after returning to the USA, with 100/120V, and was unable to feel any shock.

Conversion and Adaptability for Electronic Devices on a 220 v Down to 110 v
We have used a similar model in various overseas trips: Peoples Republic of China, Italy, Iceland, throughout South America: Brazil, Argentina, Chile & Peru. Also, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It worked very well! We bought a second one, same model, as it has 6 adaptable plugs - which now gives us at least 2 plugs for each country mentioned plus 2x the opportunity to use our electronic equipment in the 110 voltage area using the conversion of 220 volts down to 110 range for said equipment to use and recharge. We are very satisfied with the original.

Almost Perfect
With four different sockets you would think that one would work great in Germany, but, nope. Germany uses a round socket and none of these are round. One of them worked but only when we held it in place with one of our suitcases. Without that it kept falling out of the wall outlet. At least it was able to be used. I give it four stars and suggest the Kit come with a round adapter that they use in Germany.

Everything you need in one
Great for travel, I like that it has the outlets and USB ports and not just one or the other. Also, the fact that the different wall plug ins come in a stackable design is very nice and compact. Def something you should look into if you or your loved ones travel a lot.

Gets Current Shock
I used this product out of the country ( as it was the purpose), however, I observed it gets the current shock when we connect the USB and we cant use the phone while it is in charge. Initially, I thought it is a fault of the plug, but I traveled across a few other cities and it was same and then I realized it is the product fault and I was disappointed with this and wanted to return this, but couldn't return as the date was already passed when I was back to the US
