Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Vol. 22

Things just get bigger and better
As the second vol. of material that hasn't been animated yet, this volume deftly handles a mix of hefty politics and world-building with some snippets of Ohtaka's always-charming comedy (some choice scenes between Alibaba and Kogyoku) - the artwork reaches brilliantly Dali-esque surrealism as we see the origins of the world depicted in shocking detail. The scale of Magi has never been as vast and epic as it is here, but it's refreshing to see that even then, it still retains its lovably, goofy charm.
