Scent strength is medium to light - perfect for sensitive skin. Instructions: Wet face. Wet shaving brush and squeeze out excess moisture. Swirl brush on soap for 15 seconds. Move brush to wet face and work into shaving area with circular motions for 15 seconds adding water if the lather becomes pasty, then use straight back and forth paining motions for an additional 10 seconds. Meh Scent. Great lather.
When I first opened the packaging, it looked like a lump of pudding slapped inside the container. The scent was not flattering nor was it horrible. It was maybe a bit too earthy in terms of I expected based on the scent notes listed as Tobacco, Honey, and Oak Moss.In terms of lather, though, this product is phenomenal. It is slick and adds enough cushion between my skin and razor blade. I find that I got less nicks on my face and some of the slickness stayed after multiple strokes from my razor. This helped with not having to relather for a second pass to get a closer shave.Overall, it is a decent product. I wish I purchased another scent and would advise others to purchase another scent unless you are looking for something that smells earthy.
