Works... *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2018* This is a VERY simple phone, so don't expect a lot. But at the price, it does what you want it to. Large buttons and a fairly loud handset (not deafening but better than a typical cell phone) make this ideal for someone who is either hard of hearing, having trouble with new devices, or is just confused with the new vs. old thing. My mother-in-law is 89 and as with my own mother, getting the cell phone in the right place over her ear proved a bit too much (and caused us to have to speak louder and louder, to no avail). This phone brought her back to something she was quite familiar with...a landline hook up, a cradle handset, and little else. No speed dial, no memory, no last call directory (it has those but they're confusing to set up and even more confusing for her to use). Hooking it up was just a matter of plugging it in, hook up the line, and done. The cord is just about right (no possibility of tripping over a long line) and the buttons are easy to push. Not sure how long this will last since it's rather cheap plastic, but hey, the price reflects that and who cares...it works.
