Music for three pianos. Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Onnen Bock and Arrin Metz.The nine pieces on their album 'Tasten' are designed to soothe the savage soul.Musical phrases overlap, mutate and develop in gentle, limpid, variations; thecontribution of each performer blurring in such a way that it is difficult to untangleand discern where the work one pair of hands begins and another ends. Theoverall effect is rhapsodic and dreamlike. Only one darker-hued track, 'ZwischenDen Zeilen', edges a little closer to something approaching a funereal march.The delicate rocking motion of 'Il Campanile' does, indeed, suggest the peal of abell, heard beyond the hills on a Summer Sunday morning and one can easily imaginebrightly painted wooden fairground horses spinning around and around in the elegantbut playful folk-like melody of 'Karussell', an energetic and truly delightful invention.Sometimes too may cooks can spoil the broth but this collaboration is a model of good taste.Recommended.

Adding to great body of work
Wonderful sound. I played this on my audiophile setup and found it amazing. 3 pianos. Simple melodies. Interesting techniques of playing. Along with the other 4 releases, quite an excellent body of work for this genre of music.
