Manufactured exclusively from contaminant-free white glass to provide the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your pool water. It offers benefits in key areas such as filtration economy, hygiene, performance, durability and safety. With a simple replacement, Hi-Tech improves the performance of any sand filter. ## Features - 99.64% Holding Capacity - Highest holding capacity on the market tested by IFTS specialized labs, with incredible particle holding power for much clearer and cleaner pool water - Water Saving: Its advanced granulometric calibration provides a high level of colmatation, which means a drastic reduction in water consumption. The filter mass offers greater capacity to house dirt particles than other glass and silica sands, thus reducing the backwashes required by up to 75% under the same conditions. - Energy Saving: The advanced grain calibration also reduces the working pressure of the pump, which offers less resistance to circulate water in our pool, and as a consequence demands lower energy consumption. - Manufactured from white flat glass: Obtained from recycled white flat glass completely free of contaminants since it has not been used before. We thus offer a completely hygienic filter medium, creating a pure and healthy aquatic environment for bathers. - Undefined durability in a single layer: The high calibration of grains in a single layer offers almost infinite durability. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B0CTMMLT3D | | Best Sellers Rank | 177,357 in Garden (See Top 100 in Garden) 163 in Pool & Hot Tub Filters | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (77) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Date First Available | 31 Jan. 2024 | | Guaranteed Software Updates Until | unknown | | Item Display Height | 50 centimetres | | Item Display Length | 30 centimetres | | Item Display Weight | 20 Kilograms | | Item Display Width | 15 centimetres | | Item Model Number | HI-TECH-20KG | | Manufacturer | The Glass Company | | Material Type | Glass | | Part Number | HI-TECH-20KG | | Product Dimensions | 30 x 15 x 56 cm; 20 kg | ## Images ![Hi-Tech 20 kg - White Filtering Glass Sand with Maximum Filtration Power and Water and Energy Saving - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71UAMwnpwSL.jpg) ![Hi-Tech 20 kg - White Filtering Glass Sand with Maximum Filtration Power and Water and Energy Saving - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71XYoRI4hiL.jpg) ![Hi-Tech 20 kg - White Filtering Glass Sand with Maximum Filtration Power and Water and Energy Saving - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71QZxiH+FhL.jpg) ![Hi-Tech 20 kg - White Filtering Glass Sand with Maximum Filtration Power and Water and Energy Saving - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81WKcSIJF1L.jpg) ![Hi-Tech 20 kg - White Filtering Glass Sand with Maximum Filtration Power and Water and Energy Saving - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71+yzAYBwTL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Defo worth the few extra quid *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 April 2026* Fantastic item. Got this to replace the usual sand media and I can't believe the difference it's made. Fewer back washes and allows a much better flow rate for our filtration system. Highly recommend spending the extra few quid on glass media over sand media ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a pain in the glass. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 3 August 2025* What a waste of money. Bought at a good price on Amazon, put it all in the filter thingy and switched on. Works like a dream. Clean pool, rubbish weather. I want to move my pool to somewhere abroad where I can actually use it. Oh and by the way, rinse function takes no time at all. This is great stuff. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality product *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 April 2025* Great product ## Frequently Bought Together - Hi-Tech Glass Filter Media Hi-Tech 20 kg - White Filtering Glass Sand with Maximum Filtration Power and Water and Energy Saving - NATURE WORKS Filter Sand for Swimming Pool with 99.64% Filtering Power, Reduces Water and Energy Consumption, Made with Technical Glass for Maximum Hygiene - Bag 10 kg - Intex 29061 Adapter B for Filter Pumps --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/622732080-hi-tech-20-kg-white-filtering-glass-sand-with-maximum](https://www.desertcart.be/products/622732080-hi-tech-20-kg-white-filtering-glass-sand-with-maximum) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
