## Description

The Slice Auto-Retractable Mini Box Cutter works well as a safety box cutter, a pocket knife, or a kitchen multi-tool. Its auto-retractable blade stays out of harm’s way when you’re not using the knife, and the built-in magnet keeps it handy. This small cutter ships with a replaceable 10404 rounded-tip safety blade. This cutter is ambidextrous; left-handed users need only move the blade into the opposite slot in order to get cutting. The small cutter blade is non-sparking, chemically inert, and never rusts. As with all Slice blades, it lasts up to 11 times longer than steel.

There is some confusion about the lock on the back. The lock doesn't not lock the blade from extending nor retracting. The lock keeps the shell from coming apart. Unlock and you can open the shell and flip or replace the blade. If you want a cutter that doesn't automatically retract the blade look for the orange colored model.

Awazing to open boxes. Doesn't have a metal blade, which I love. My kids can use it too, and they really enjoy it. I also love that the blade retracts, and you don't have to worry about it staying out.

Best box opener! The magnet keeps it on my fridge so I don't loose it, which I would do! It fits well in my hand and is comfortable to hold. The cutting edge doesn't cut skin but it will cut right thru tape, cardboard, plastic wrapping and the juice box inside so be careful. This is definitely worth the purchase. The only negative is that the lock doesn't work. I have to hold the blade slider in the out position, but that's not difficult at all so I don't mind.
