Its standard EN417 threaded design ensures compatibility with most camping stoves, while the cleaner-burning isobutane mix reduces residue and maintenance. Available in multiple sizes, this lightweight, high-pressure gas canister is engineered for reliable, long-lasting outdoor cooking. ## Description Power Gas is our best-selling gas and is a mixture of propane and isobutane. A good all-round gas that is the perfect start with when cooking outdoors. Power Gas works best during the three warmest seasons of the year, but even when the temperature drops below zero, the gas provides enough pressure for your stove. Its versatility therefore makes it suitable for most adventures, even where the weather conditions and temperature are uncertain and varied. The pressure inside a gas container is high, so the gas is stored in liquid form. When you turn the knob, the pressure in the container drops and the liquid evaporates. When the vapour is ignited, you get a good flame to boil water or cook on. The conversion from liquid to gas requires energy, which is taken from the fuel, the container and the ambient environment. This causes the container to become cold (it can even form frost on the outside!). Different gases have different boiling points. The lower the boiling point, the higher the pressure in the container at a certain temperature, which leads to higher output on the stove. Propane has the lowest boiling point, followed by isobutane and then butane. At low temperatures, you want a mixture of gases that have a low boiling point as this results in better output on the stove. This is the reason behind the mixture of propane and isobutane in our Power Gas and Winter Gas. At higher outdoor temperatures, you want a mixture of gases with a higher boiling point instead, which is why we have butane instead of isobutane in our Summer Gas. Excessive pressure in the container causes the flame to become too strong. This makes the stove less fuel efficient and can also be dangerous, as the container is not designed for excessive pressure. ## Features - SCREW ON CANISTER with STANDARD THREADS - The Primus gas canister top is threaded with the standard EN417 size and is compatible with most gas cartridge stoves available on the market. Gas mix: 20% propane & 80% isobutane. - OPERATIONAL RANGE -10 °C to +25°C - Primus Power Gas works best during the three warmest seasons of the year, but even when the temperature drops below zero, the gas provides enough pressure for your outdoor stove. - ISOBUTANE GAS INSTEAD OF BUTANE GAS - Isobutane has significantly higher vapor pressure than butane, leading to superior performance, especially when the temperature drops. - LONG LASTING GAS - Isobutane has a higher energy content per gram compared to the more common butane gas, meaning you use less gas per cooking session and also need to change the Primus canister less frequently. - REDUCED RESIDUE & CLOGGING - Isobutane produce fewer residues when burned compared to butane. It keeps your stove cleaner and requires less maintenance. SIZES: 100g gas canister, 230g gas canister, 450g gas canister. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B0CVS9N3TZ | | Best Sellers Rank | 191 in Sports & Outdoors (See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors) 15 in Camping Replacement Fuel | | Brand | Primus | | Color | Transparent | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (834) 4.6 out of 5 stars | | Date First Available | 16 Feb. 2024 | | Fuel Type | Propane & Isobutane | | Guaranteed Software Updates Until | unknown | | Included Components | 1 gas canister | | Manufacturer | Primus | | Manufacturer Reference | 47231 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Package Dimensions | 9 x 8.8 x 6.9 cm; 210 g | | Size | 1x - 100g | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Primus - **Material:** Metal - **Style:** 1x - 100g - **Item weight:** 205 Grams - **Fuel type:** Propane & Isobutane - **Number of items:** 3 - **Manufacturer:** Primus ## Images ![Power Gas 100g - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71OqG2g4GOL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid camping gas *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 21 July 2026* Solid camping gas, works well and lasts long ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nice size to carry. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 January 2026* Gas in attractive canisters.
