AX5 Pen Plotter Writing Robot Open Source DIY Kit Corexy A5 Size Learn Programming, Need to Assemble by Oneself

I gave this as a gift, and there is no easy way to transfer ownership (though gifts happen often). So no way to get a real user experience here. It looked good enough to buy and support the maker. But no way to encourage a community of users on Amazon. Just a personal note as the buyer in this case: It felt incomplete and disconnected. Yes you had to put it together. But it felt like it was something they did and were not going to really put more effort into. Personal, maybe I am just tired of things where DIY means do it "Do it ALL by yourself with no community or connection" More YACOYO - "You are completely on your own".

I NEED HELP IN SETTING IT UP. PLEASE GIVE AMERICAN ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS SO I CAN COME BACK AND CHANGE THESE STARS TO 5 OR 10. THANK YOU

Just have alot of patience...this is not a beginner friendly but great for learning

When I got this there were no A5 format bots available on AMZ, and while i still would prefer an A4 size to this A5 size, I really do like this bot. It runs off of GRBL not LaserGRBL like you might expect. Do NOT set GRBL to Laser mode if you reflash the firmware, it will have the pen servo rotating in ONE direction only so pen will raise and not lower. If you're like me and can't stand candle/easel/etc I've made a Fusion 360 post available in the Fusion 360 forums that seems to work. The one missing star is for 1 small thing: 1) The lack of endstops and compatibility with homing routines. It really should have come with them. Other relevant things to note that don't affect the rating: The (included) DXF for the base is off a little and needed a tweak or 2. (FYI you need to supply your own baseplate material and cut it yourself, and you will need to tap the bottom of the extrusions yourself as well.)
