Glad I got this one!
I've been using this 3x weekly for about six months for back squats and deadlifts. The quality is excellent, all rivets and stitching remain in great shape, the buckle/pin/roller are great, and the belt hole I've been using is still sound. The belt is two functional layers of high quality leather, with a thin suede layer on the outside. It's sturdy as hell, and beautifully made. The support from this thing is exceptional. Absolutely worth the money. I'm between sizes. If you're gaining and putting on fat as well as muscle, size up. If you're stable, cutting, or staying lean while gaining, size down since there's room to add another hole if needed. Keep in mind it needs to be *tight* while you're going through the exercise. I'm in the last hole, and had to wear it under my shirt for a couple months while I cut. It can be difficult to get the tongue through the belt loop. Trust me, it'll go. You can probably get stuck in it, if you tighten too far. Putting it on can be a struggle at first, since the belt is so stiff. I brace my fingers against the buckle and hold the edges of the belt while I crank it down. I would absolutely buy it again, though I'll be amazed if it wears out. So glad I decided to get a solid belt worth working in to, rather than a cheapo "starter" belt for my beginner gains.

Consider this belt if you are looking for a serious piece of equipment without a name brand price
This belt is solid. I lift regularly for general fitness but plan to start focusing on more strength training and I am optimistic that this belt will help me do so for a long time. I was concerned mostly with all the reviews that spoke of sizing issues; I found my measurement as instructed (around the belly, slightly above the belly button) which turned out to be 38 inches. I was almost going to take the various "pointers" to get one size larger which would've been an xtra large.....would've been way toooo much belt. The large size belt fits perfectly. The buckle prong is right about the middle of the belt holes provided and it will allow me to adjust up or down as needed. I don't understand how so many consumers bought this belt using their waist size since the belt doesn't sit there to begin with. The construction of the belt is solid looking and should last many years. The leather is double stitched throughout, even around the middle where the holes are at. The logo is actually stitched as well- I expected it to be some stamping that would wear off. The dye may bleed a bit but whatever. Yes, it's a stiff belt out the box, can be a bit tough removing the buckle prong at first, but I rolled the belt some at the house and put it on and took it off several times to get the belt a bit softer so to speak. In the gym, it does exactly what its needed for. I would not be discouraged by the few rogue reviews about the "poor belt quality" or numerous bad reviews due to sizing as it appears most of those were due to user error in getting the right sized belt to begin with. For the money, a solid belt brand name or not. It's certainly better than a soft padded Velcro job or a tapered belt you will get at your local fitness/ sporting goods store.

Great belt
Great belt for power lifting. Has great support i have been using this brand for just under 4 yrs now and I wont be using anyone else. Break in period is only about a month of solid lifting and the belt doesn't get floppy at all. The clasp and prong are perfect and made great to ensure that you have the support you need for those big lifts.

A+ 3.5 years later, but I converted this belt to a lever belt and put up the DIY on Youtube
I used this belt for 3.5 years: deadlift 585, Squat 500, OHP 240lbs. It was a great belt. Nothing wore out. All rivets intact etc. I recently converted this belt to a Pioneer PAL Lever belt using their PAL lever and this Stoic belt. Check out my video on youtube: "Convert any Lifting belt into the BEST lever Belt -SAVE $120- PAL Lever Belt Conversion 4 Stoic Belt" Channel name TopLift. About Sizing for this Stoic belt I had a 38" waist at the narrowest part and I bought a Large and returned it for an XL. Now I am at a 36" waist (narrowest part, not the upper belly where i wear the belt) and I was using this belt at its tightest notch. So That's why I upgraded this belt to a lever belt for convenience and because the PAL lever allows half inch vs 1 inch increments. This DIY mod was easy and fun, and saved me 80 dollars. My Stoic belt was $60 in 2017 and has worked well, and the "Discount PAL Lever" was $41. for a total of $101. I would have had to have spent $120 vs $45 for a whole new belt. Reduce reuse recycle lol :)

Great belt
I've had it for 3 years and i'm still happy with it. Using it every gym session. Great support for the heavy lifts (squats and desdlifts). I'm 5'8'' (172cm) and 170lb (77kg) with 36'' waist. The medium size is perfect. I've used it in my heaviest (180lb/82kg with 38'' weist), on the third notch. Now i'm in the 5th (at 170lb and 36'' weist). So there is a lot of room for getting thinner or heavier. Since I am a bit short this belt can get a little bit unconfortable when squatting with extra fat or with conventional deadlifts when loosing weight (the belt touches my hips and ribs). I bought a thinner belt (3'') but the support was way weaker, couldnt lift as much weight, so I ended up selling that one. This belt is no longer unconfortable since I lost weight and switched to sumo deadlifts. Overall a good belt at a good price, around $60, while other belts with similar quality are usually $100+

This is a sturdy and comfortable belt.
This is my first thick 4 inch belt. Iโve used a thin champion belt for 15 years or more. After getting into som really good numbers Iโve decided to go with the heavier belt. This is a heavy sturdy belt. I would not try and over flex it. Just let it break in naturally through use. Donโt use the belt loop to help cinch it down. This belt is a great choice. Iโm very happy with my purchase. It is sturdy a comfortable. It supports my lifts under very heavy loads. Iโve only used it a few sessions so far and the real test of quality will be time. As I said Iโm lifting with the same belt for a very long time and my father lifted with it before me. Thatโs a pretty high bar. Iโm happy with the purchase. Iโve conditioned the belt and will do so again in a half year. Weโll see how it lasts. Thanks!

Great Belt! Very Strong!
Great Belt!! This belt is such a great deal. When received this belt is thick! The leather looks great, and is stuff at first, but it is starting to really break in nicely. When wearing the belt, I can definitely feel the support when lifting. I am definitely more confident when lifting now as I feel much more ridgid around the midsection while lifting. While this can be a wide belt, I don't find it to be restricting at all in my movements. I know some have made concern about being able to comfortablly deadlift using this belt, but I have had no issues at all. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase. Lift Unlimited, which sells Stoic, seems like a very quality company, and their customer relations is amazing. After purchasing I received emails thanking me for my purchase, asking if everything was ok, and offering me tips to help me with my purchase. I am going to look to them for some lifting straps, when I come to buying some.

One epic piece of dead cow
One word: Awesome. As I unboxed and held this piece of 10mm leather in my hand, my 5 o'clock shadow trembled with excitement. I couldn't wait to wrap this 4 inch, beautiful belt around my aching back and hit the weights. As soon as I sucked in my gut and tightened the belt, latched the single prong buckle through, I immediately felt a change! My 5 o'clock shadow grew out of my jaw into a raw but refined pointed beard, a 3rd testicle dropped from my loins. The amount of pure testosterone this belt gives is like George Washington chest bumping the Rocks spirit animal! How did it perform? I immediately set a PR in clean and press. Strapped around, I felt the belt instantly stabilize my core and back. It's stiff leather did dig into my sides, but it was to be expected. I bent down, strained my abs against the vegetable tanned leather, took hold of the bar. I felt like Eddie Hall setting up for his WR 500kg lift. I strained, I grunted, a vein popped. I cleaned the sunofagun to my shoulder. And I hoisted that weight up above my head. Glorious. There was zero strain in my back. My lifting platform turned into a podium, and I was number one. Brian Shaw, eat it. I stood there, weight still over my head, all 135 lbs of it. With this belt, bro, with this belt...

This a great belt, you can see and smell that it is leather
I am really happy I bought this belt. I originally bought a belt from Iron Bull https://www.amazon.ca/PowerLifting-Belt-Weight-Lifting-Weightlifting/dp/B078FMN4V9 The Iron Bull belt is much lower quality. It had a weird chemical smell and the leather inside was a weird blue color. It was also too soft to be leather. From all the reasonably priced belts I could find this was the best
