Wow, can't even smell new mown grass
I just installed a Respilon screen in my bedroom window last night. Woke up to my neighbor mowing his lawn right under my window. I couldn't smell the grass! I'm allergic to grass pollen (as well as everything that grows, it seems), and that has never happened before. I instantly smell grass being mown even just through the cat door.My window is ancient and not exactly standard and I couldn't get it to quite fit vertically (no problem horizontally), but just wedged it in and used duct tape to secure it on top with no gap. It still worked! It would not be at all difficult to install in normal windows. Just pop it in and you would be done. It wasn't even hard for me, once I got my roll of duct tape. Also I've had other types of pollen blocking screens that blocked the light and the view from my window and had actually delayed installing it for that reason. This house doesn't have much light coming in to begin with. Silly me. This screen doesn't block the view at all. I can clearly see the trees and such outside, just as you would with a normal screen. So if you're wondering if they are worth the price - yes, they are. Hope the price holds, though, because money is tight right now. But they really do work as advertised.Off to get a tape measure to see if I can raid savings to install more Respilon screens in other windows...UPDATE August 8, 2022: put another Respilon in the opposite window upstairs a couple of weeks ago. My upstairs ordinarily is ten degrees Fahrenheit above outside temperature, it's right under the roof like an attic. Haven't used a fan recently, but I should just set up my Vornado fan some time. The airflow through the screens is certainly good enough even without a fan (and even with just one Respilon installed) to keep it cooler at various times of day than if I kept the windows closed - I sleep up there at odd hours so am very familiar with how it does with windows closed. Don't expect miracles and a fan should help more, but airflow is not practically zero as some reviewers have thought. Of course, it's not as much as if the window were completely open or you had a regular screen. But that might not matter to you as much as it does to those reviewers. As expected, the screen also blocks the obnoxious odors when the city is working on the road etc. near my window as well. Big bonus... Definitely easier to sleep during the day as a result. I think the people really happy with these screens are those who need the pollen and particulate and odor blocking, which it does so well. So if you are put off by airflow comments in negative reviews but need that blocking feature (why else would you spend this much on a screen?) - don't hesitate to try it anyway. Your situation may be different. I doubt that your room will be hotter or the same temperature as with closed windows, which is what we are comparing - not with a normal unfiltered screen. If you have allergies like mine, you are not going to want to open the window without protection. It's just not comfortable.

Great screens and excellent, helpful, customer service in our time of need!
First, a little bit of background about us and our situation:I am a single mom with a limited budget, with 2 small kids under 5 years old, and we all have respiratory issues :( We live in California (yep, where all the fires are going on right now) with currently the most toxic air quality going on. We often have to alternate between wearing an N95 mask and doing breathing treatments (asthma inhalers/nebulizers) to manage the reactions we are having, especially in the night times. As you can imagine, we have had to lock the house up extremely tight to make sure no air gets in, because outside is so terrible. We previously purchased 2 of these screen filters about a year ago and despite the frame not providing the tightest fit in the windows we were using them in, they helped immensely to cut down on the pollutants and particles that were affecting us. Well, we moved about 4 months ago and somewhere in the move our precious filters were misplaced. I was in near tears as I was tearing my house up from top to bottom searching for these before I realized they were indeed gone.Thankfully, Respilon worked with me to make sure I could order these filters for my family again during these horrible fires, and I am so pleased with their customer service that I wanted to write a review to show my appreciation. The screens work wonderful to filter out harmful particles and pollutants, and the customer service of this company is top notch; who could ask for anything more? I am beyond pleased to be a returning customer, thank you Respilon!

Can't speak on quality of filter, but it seems very cheaply made.
I was very very surprised when I opened this package and saw this product in person. It's impossible to comment on the exact quality of the filter in terms of air filtration, but the rest of the product appears to be extremely cheap quality. It's very flimsy and just feels and looks like it's very low quality. For the price I paid, I'm extremely unhappy with this product. But, if the filter is as effective as it claims, I guess overall it's a good purchase.

Impedes all air flow
This screen filters all the nasty things it claims it will, but it also massively restricts air flow. It just prevents my fan from pulling fresh air into the room. This might work for you if you're looking for a slow air flow, but I cool my upstairs by putting fans in the Windows in evening. This product totally impedes that process. Not for me, which is unfortunate because they are expensive!

Nice quality!
Nice size in height. Looks like a quality product. My allergies are minimal so I can't really evaluate ifit makes any difference on pollen, etc. I am leaving office windows open all the time now so thought it would be good to get these. Also wanted to eliminate a direct draft from the open windows. Would be nice if it also came in brown!

A pointless product
Typically, one opens a window in order to get fresh air, and to cool down a hot room. Typically, though, one would want to filter out bugs, dust, and allergens that could come in through an open window. This window screen performs admirably at the latter--but the mesh is so fine it also blocks all air from flowing through in either direction. If you install this, you might as well keep the window shut, as it has the exact same effect.Tested this both on a very windy day, on a window directly downwind, as well as with a pedestal fan at full speed pressed directly against the mesh. In the latter scenario, there was only a very slight, almost imperceptible breeze through one of the panes; where the panes overlapped, which was over half the width of the window, there was nothing. As such, this would be useless during a late spring or summer, which is when you'd want cool air flow the most.

Get rid of dust and pollen!
Great product, it will help keep dust and pollen out of my house!! I will combine this with a window fan to provide clean fresh air for my house. Highly recommended!

Poor Design
The product is not flush with the bottom of the window. A rather large gap results which defeats the purpose of having a filter, unless you put tape around it, which makes it a problem to remove
