Works great Sharpening knives, smaller hatchets and scissors. Anything with Ken Onions name on it is a must buy.Time to throw a way all those kitchen drawer sharpening gadgets and make more room? Buy this. Its all you will ever need.Like anything else that is new to someone there is a slight learning curve to using it but comes with great and easy instructions that when followed will take you from a dull knife that wont cut water to a knife that is so sharp you wont believe it. Warning do not slip when using a knife that has been sharpened with this extremely well made tool or else you will suffer a bloody cut. This is no toy but rather a very well made machine! I Recommend to by the replacement belts on Amazon at the same time if you plan on sharpening a lot of knives, but it does come with extras in different grits.
