RVMARINEPAT 12V Linear Actuator High Speed 14mm/s Linear Motion Actuator 220lb/1000N Electric Actuator 12 Volt IP54 Waterproof Linear Actuator 6 inch with Switch

Bought this 4-inch linear actuator for a 12V marine application and so far it has worked exactly as expected. Installation was straightforward, the motor runs smoothly, and it has plenty of force for its size. Extension and retraction are consistent and it stops cleanly at the end of its travel. The housing and wiring feel well made, and everything seems adequately sealed for use around a boat where moisture and occasional water exposure are unavoidable. I also like the compact size—it was easy to fit into a fairly tight mounting location without taking up a lot of room. For the price, this seems like a very solid actuator. If you need a compact 12V actuator for a hatch, compartment, small lift mechanism, or similar marine project, this is a good option.

No joke quality unit. Used it to control fertilizer gate on speader. Powerful actuator, high quality. No kidding looks like it belongs on aircraft operating the flaps. Very surprised, tried it on a whim thinking it might be cheap junk. Wrong. Beautifully made. I am now looking for other things to open and close.

I use this on a lawn sweeper to adjust the machine height, so I don't have to get off the tractor, when I transit a rocky area, or the container is full. It works exactly as I hoped and speeds things up.

Worked perfect for what I used it for smooth quiet and plenty of force to open and close a water gate valve

Our fresh water tank and pump is underneath the bed of our camper along with some extra storage space. To gain access to this area, there is a hinged lid beneath the mattress that is held up by two gas struts. Those struts worked fine with the stock mattress, which SUCKED, so we replaced it immediately with a nicer (heavier) model. That extra storage space is where my wife wanted to keep the extra sheets, towels, etc so it needed to be easily accessed. The new mattress was too heavy for the gas struts, and a powered solution seemed in order, not to mention I've always wanted an excuse to use linear actuators. I bought these to replace the gas struts and installed them. They are controlled via the included momentary toggle switch at the foot of the bed. They work great, but most importantly the wife loves it.

Works perfectly. Strong enough to push open wooden door.

Worked perfect for what I wanted to do

Worked amazing for about a month. A month after my return window closed, the actuator stopped worked completed. Tested different known good power sources with no change. Tested the actual resistance and motor shows open. Amazon ended up refunding me for this, but definitely wish this would've lasted longer.

Easy to install, ample strength.

Worked very well for my project and surprisingly fast👍

not water proof. this unit and the 600 both failed because of water intrusion, bad corrosion of the motor. Seals are paper and the screws leak badly. fine if kept dry.
