Hope this helps. **Q: I'm expecting to use the external power adapter, but what kind of plug/adapter (110v or 220v) does it have?** A: When I received my device it came with a 100 to 240V Power adapter and also two different plug types where you can choose from fitting either a 3 pin UK style plug or a 2 round pin plug which you fit to the Power adapter. **Q: Am i right in saying this doesn't work on an imac. i have three drives, but the imac doesn't recognise any of them!! this is certainly not plug n play** A: This does work on an iMac and pretty much any other device that has a USB port). If you are using an iMac, I would suggest that you format the SSD correctly depending on its use (i.e. whether it is for internal or external use). A quick google search should explain how to do this. If you have a blank SSD and you are trying to upgrade your internal storage from HDD, I would recommend cloning the SSD before install (do this using the Mac Disk Utility). I am ecstatic about this converter and would definitely recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small, looks good, cheap, not compatible with a power disable feature SATA revision 3.3 *by M***M on 29 August 2019* I already had an older one of these made by a different company but bought this one as I was having trouble accessing an 8TB HGST drive I'd bought from Ebay. Unfortunately, this could not access it either but this is due to the hard drive having a power management feature introduced in SATA revision 3.3 (introduced in 2016). While this couldn't access the drive, I tried it with a mechanical hard drive I knew would work and it worked perfectly and gave me the same speed via USB3 as it did when installed inside my pc. This is also notably smaller than my previous converter and looks a lot smarter.
