Kings and Queens Cards Cards – 28 Jan. 2011

I have found this to be a handy set of cards. It covers kings and queens of Britain from Saxon times to present.Though it states "All British Kings and Queens"on the box, it includes monarchs from the royal houses of Scotland and England but no Welsh kings have been included. So not quite all british kings and queens.I have found it to be useful for quick reference when I want to place a particular monarch in time or find out who succeeded a particular king or queen.Each card carries a glossy image of the monarch on one side. The reverse contains useful facts regarding birth, marriage and death of the king or queen and other interesting facts specific to the individual.They are nice and colourful and great for quick a reference.

These large format cards are great for my Year Three son who's doing lots of stuff on history: from the Tudors, Stuarts, etc. It's taught me a lot too as I haven't really paid much interest in this kind of thing for 30 years.The cards themselves have a large picture of the monarch on the front and tells you which "house" they belong to. On the reverse you get the length of their reign, birth/death, etc.Great value and educational. Result!

Useful to learn the order of Uk monarchs

Really well done card set - bigger than I expected. We used these for a school project and my son enjoyed reading the facts on the back of the cards. Great for school and kids. Arrived very fast.

These are absolutely brilliant. Such a convenient reference tool. The card size is about the size of tarot cards. Just sits on the book shelf until you need it, which with the Shakespeare series Hollow Crown on TV recently, has been every day almost!

larger than I thought but with interesting info on the backs and an overall list of kings and queens.

though i am pleased with this item, i did think the cards would have come in a box, which would have also kept them clean

interesting format for historical information.
