The 6 mm stone looks wonderful!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The stone is gorgeous. We had to leave my fiancee's engagement ring with the jeweler to modify it to fit flush with her wedding band. I wanted to give her something to wear in the meantime, but couldn't find any sapphire rings that fit the bill, so I purchased a 6 mm stone from here and placed it in an inexpensive ring I purchased from Amazon as well. The link to the ring is here: Newshe Jewellery Alice 2.4 Carat Round White CZ 925 Solid Sterling Silver Wedding Band Engagement Ring Set Size 6 As you can see fro the video the end result is wonderful, and my fiancee is a happy camper. I highly recommend it.

Unbelievable value
I brought this stone to a reputable jeweler for it to be set as an engagement ring, without giving any information. The jeweler said it was a beautiful blue sapphire, and looked like a natural worth $10,000 - $12,000. He asked me if it was natural or synthetic, and when I told him it was a synthetic I bought on Amazon for $17, he was flabbergasted. He said when customers want a synthetic sapphire, he buys one from his suppliers for $200.Overall I found the market for synthetic sapphires to have wildly varying prices, so thanks uGems for providing a fantastic value.

This seems to be a decent lab gem. Because ...
This seems to be a decent lab gem. Because I'm a ridiculous person, once I received it, I took it around to the local jeweler and asked him to take a look at it, not mentioning It was a lab made gem. He spent several minutes on it, and noted that it had no flaws or inclusions, but also no bubbles, indicating to him that it was not glass, He then offered to send it off to NY for chemical analysis, which I declined. At that point, I was to embarrassed to tell him it was lab made, but his analysis makes be believe it is a real lab grown gem, and not a glass fake.

Exactly what I wanted!
I will be candid and say I was a little worried when I brought it to the jeweler. That either it wouldn't fit properly in the ring designed for an 8mm stone or it just wouldn't be a sapphire but rather a piece of blue glass or crystal. I'm happy to report that the jeweler had no issues and determined it was exactly what it purported to be.

They have a purplish tone
These were too purple for my liking. I've noticed that a lot of synthetic blue sapphires have that purplish tone to them rather than deep blue. I did receive my order quickly, and there was nothing wrong with the packaging or the stones. It was a good price for two stones. I just didn't care for the color.

Color was fairly dark.
Darker than desired, but she liked it so, hey.

This gemstone rocks!
I bought this loose stone and a few others for a jewelry project I'm doing and I was shocked at how good the quality was for the price. I expected a manufactured stone to be less beautiful than a natural stone, but they're not. And when you consider the social implications of gemstone mining, you can't beat manufactured stones.
