Belle Etoile by Babylon Circus

I saw Babylon Circus live at Guilfest in 2010 and was a little worried that their brand of on-stage madness would not translate well to the recording studio. However, I shouldn't have been. La Belle Etolie recreates their live sound perfectly and is well worth the money!If you have never seen/heard them before, they are hard to describe, so I would suggest listening to the samples before making up your mind. Having seen this band this year at a festival - I felt I needed to track down an album - and I'm so pleased I did. This is a fabulous "feel good" album - mostly in French but my daughter and I are constantly singing along or dancing to it. If you liked European gypsy style folk and reggae - buy it!
