Casa Aroma Genie - Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Diffuser (Black)

I was unsure about this item because there were so many versions online that looked similar...and the photos aren't very clear. Now that I have the item in hand, I can tell you that this is very high quality. The black ceramic is very high quality, thick and matte. The bottom portion is high quality plastic that looks very nice alongside the ceramic (without looking closely, you can't tell the difference in materials.) Another area that I was uncertain about is the glowing strip. This is really just a white plastic area that separates the sections. When the light is turned on, it shines through the plastic and doesn't look as gold/yellow as the photo. And, it can be turned off. The pictures also led me to believe it was bigger than it is. It's actually somewhat small and cute. Not too small...just not a big eyesore.It works really well and sends a nice scent throughout the room immediately upon turning on the device. Just add water and 4-5 drops of essential oils. And it turns off automatically when the water gets low.I love it!

I am happy with this purchase. The device is pretty, makes no noise, works very well and it does make a difference from using a candle diffuser. I bought it to use next to my cats' sand box, so I needed something that goes on for longer than a candel diffuser. This one goes on for up to 7 hours if you use set it to stop every half an hour. It has two setting: stopping every half an hour, and going on non stop (up to 3 hours, if I'm not mistaken). The cover is black ceramic, very pretty and discreet, so it won't interfere in your decoration. In this picture in Amazon it seems to have a golden line, but it doesn't (good!). I think it is supposed to show that this is the light that you can turn on. I don't use it, but this light actually looks very nice in the dark. It's supposed to be relaxing, and it is.The only reason I put four stars is that I still think it's an expensive little thing. It is a simple machine, it doesn't seem to justify being sold by over $100. At least this is my impression...

This diffuser does not cover the square footage I was told it would cover (585 sq. feet). If you have a housewith 10 ft or hight ceilings it will not fill the room if it's more than 8x8. The water gets used up very quicklyif you run it continuously. I regret this purchase.

This is a nice looking product and it arrived very quickly, no complaints there. It appears to be well made. The first week it seemed to work really well and the aromas from the essential oils were very pleasing. It has been almost a month of use and it does not seem to put off any sort of aroma unless you put your face directly over the "spout". I clean it regularly and have not done anything different, not sure what is wrong.

When I saw this diffuuser on amazon I thought it would be a great addition to use along with my essential oils. When I received it in the mail it was ALOT smaller than I thought it would be. I have a fairly good sized home and so this isn't really adequate to scent my whole home like I thought it would. You would think for over $160 it would be but it isn't and you have to keep refilling the water dispenser and eo to keep the area it's in smelling good. I really wished this was a lot bigger and would last a lot longer like the regular diffusers you get in the stores that lasts for months. I do like the diffuser, it's just a little fussier than I hoped it would be. Great for very small areas!

Can't think of a thing that would cause me to give less than five stars. No complaints at all. A little expensive relative to some others, but then it looks nice sitting on the counter rather than like a medical device, so I guess beauty is worth the extra money. I've never diffused EO's in my home with other than a candle diffuser before buying this one. An aromatherapist recommended the ultrasonic type. I'm surprised and impressed at how well the aroma fills an entire room. Much more effective than the candle style. Very simple, very easy to use, very easy to clean, very attractive. Amazon always reliable to deal with.

Have used this unit consistently -- that's ALL day -- for over a month. I never realized HOW great this unit was/is until I received a diffuser from another manufacturer. It was overly complicated to fill, to operate, etc. This one? Couldn't be easier. You lift the ceramic cover, lift the top to the reservoir and fill. Cleaning can be done with a cloth and/or a bit of alcohol. It has two modes -- which are self explanatory -- and when it reaches a low point, turns itself off. The only "con" I might mention is it doesn't offer much performance when it comes to an overly large room but does just fine in rooms, say 16x16 (perhaps a bit bigger). The design is simple, clean, & it's no wonder why it's won a number of design awards. I highly recommend.

This is ok. I will not use it as much as I thought I might as my house is very small. The product is has a nice clay dome, the rest is plastic. It has an auto shut off and works well as long as it is kept clean after every use. The Essential oil is an oil. If the product is not cleaned well after each use, it will not work well or at all. I saw reviews saying it quit working after a few uses, this is most likely why.
