Save your money for something else. I was delighted that this headlamp had worked perfectly when I received it about 7 weeks ago. I had wanted a constant red LED in a headlamp, and couldn’t believe it was so inexpensive, comfortable, and seemingly well made. Fast forward to today (the night before my big trip for which I had purchased it), and when I somehow thought to test it again, the red light not only skipped straight past its “constant” setting, but it started to strobe, and no amount of pressing the button could turn it off. Could only be deactivated by removing the batteries (which maybe I shouldn’t have left in this whole time?). I’ve tried jiggling around the batteries, and now something different happens every time, but it remains that the batteries must be removed in order to get the strobing to stop. Absolutely no actual use of the headlamp occurred between receiving it and now. You really don’t want to be depending on something this unreliable when you’re out in the wilderness, fumbling in the dark. Of course, I’m outside of the return window and pretty disappointed. DO NOT BUY.

I was initially pleased with the product, but after storing for a few weeks with no use, the included batteries were dead (it was definitely 'off' while stored). I just thought the included batteries were bad and loaded in 3 more - tested as working great and turned off. When I tried it again in another few weeks, the new batteries were also dead. The headlamp is obviously pulling power from the batteries when in the 'off' position (defective). I now have to store it with the batteries disconnected so as to not need new batteries for every use.

I hike/backpack/camp and I had seen this headlamp reviewed/recommended by backpacking youtube channels.I love it! I so glad I didn't end up buying a more expensive light. My mom and I have been sharing one of these headlamps for a year now and I just can't imagine what else I could want it to do. So, I've bought one just for myself. The tilt-down function is so awesome for thick mist. The red light is easily accessible by a separate button. 3 settings for each. I love the color selection too.It's a wonderful headlamp for the money.

Update: dropping it to 3-star. Right after I entered my previous review, it stopped working (after just a few uses). Fortunately, it started working again after I replaced the batteries. Not sure if the batteries that came with it were old or the unit is defective and runs out of battery so fast.----------------------------I like the feature of combining the bright white light in the middle with two flashing red lights on both sides. I use that feature whenever I go pick up mails from my mailbox in the dark.

Love this light! Having the option of three different patterns of light for the white light (low light, high light and blinking light) and two for the red (solid light or blinking light) makes this a versatile, very useful safety light. The adjustability of the band is great. I wear it as a tail light, with the red light blinking at the back of my head. I use another light system for the front to show me the way. I walk a lot after dusk so I feel a lot more safe with this light announcing my presence.

This is a great light for the price. The head band is comfortable and the buttons are easy to use. The red night light is excellent. I do not like the spot light because I think I prefer having a light wash that lights up the whole area, rather than a focused spot circle (especially when walking the dot of bright light bounces with each step), but that is not a issue with the light.

This is my second order of these headlamps. The price is fabulous, and they work very well. I needed a headlamp that had a red light setting for backpacking. I do have to scroll through the different lighting patterns, but that isn't a big deal for me. I keep one in my day pack, one in my backpack.

This headlamp is great for someone who wants to wear a headlamp indoors. The lamp back, or piece that is against your forehead, is a smooth plastic. Other headlamps have an edge that creases the forehead and is uncomfortable. I needed a headlamp for indoor use to do crafts or to search for cat toys that are under furniture or appliances. It is a good bright light and is an excellent value. I wish it had more color options, but that's another story.
