Activated carbon gets "saturated" and stops working. **Q: What is the country of origin?** A: USA **Q: Can you install this outdoors in a packaged unit?** A: Yes you can, the ballast goes inside in the electrical section so water never gets to it, the bulb itself needs to be installed between blower and coil , do not let the light shine directly on the equipment wires as they are not uv rated, will destroy them eventually, and this units are not 110v , they don't come wired like that , the ballast has to be hooked up to 24v You can use the existing transformer already in the AC equipment or my suggestion always use a dedicated transformer , that way you don't risk blowing your 3 or 5 amp fuse **Q: How does this install in your system? does it go in the furnace on the ac coil ?** A: Yes this unit install inside your air handler by the coil area above or below it. You got to have one of these! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very easy to install *by S***N on June 12, 2021* This light is very easy to install, adjust and fabricate to be able to mount in tight places. Yes. This light is a stay on only so that is something to consider. It is easy to integrate with the fan it just takes some know how. Where the cord plugs into the bulb is very tight so it makes the cord bend hard against the top mounting bracket. All in all a good product the only thing I wonder about is the quality of the bulbs but we shall see over time. I’ll follow up in a year or if burns out before then. Update after a few months of the light being installed we have noticed a difference in air quality. We went on vacation a few times and because of our three cats it usually smells like a hamster cage when we return but with the light on and the fan schedule set it actually smelt normal when we got home. I would highly recommend this especially for not so handy people.
