🔥 Burn Bright, Burn Right! 🔥
The Bad Idea Pyro Burn Cage/Barrel Incinerator is a medium-sized, 32-inch high incinerator made from American steel. Its innovative tab and slot design allows for easy, tool-free assembly, while its uniquely angled slots provide superior airflow and structural rigidity. With steel construction nearly twice as thick as competing models, this incinerator is built for durability and efficiency.

Better than hoped
I am clearing an area of shrubs, weeds, fallen limbs, etc. The incinerator was great. I felt comfortable in the safety of the incinerator and the brush burned quickly.

Purchased 7 years ago - the good and the bad
I purchased this burn cage directly from the company 7 years ago and have used it frequently to burn trash and yard and tree debris from my acre and a half property. It has been outside the entire 7 years in Ohio climate from sweltering heat to frost bite deep freezes, torrential rains, sleet, snow and hurricane force winds. I have moved it around periodically but never dismantled and stored it.This barrel has done the job and done it well. It is easy to put together (or pickup and move a little ways when the ash builds up inside - and I am a 71 yo woman). But I may be about ready to buy a new one because after 7 years of use and constant exposure to the weather, it is rusted and, because I leave the burn ash on the bottom, the acidic ash has eaten away at the bottom of the sides. The sides have also warped which will occur very quickly. This results in the top not fitting. I think it's actually a design flaw - someone wasn't thinking well when they designed it, because the lid is pretty much exactly the size of the opening, with tab cut outs that are suppose to fit over tabs at the top of the sides. It just doesn't work. I actually had the lid fall down inside the burner a couple of times when in use, so now I sit the lid at an angle. I actually emailed them about this 6 years ago but I don't think they changed anything. But this thing really is tough. It's been through a lot with me and would probably work for burning trash for another several years. But because the bottoms of the sides have been started to be eroded or eaten away, I think I will retire this to compost bin status and purchase a new one.

Best burn container ever
Very easy to put together, holds more burnable trash than the last one I had. I would give it a 10 if there was one. Great construction, easy to put together and take apart. Thumps uo!

Not worth the price.
Rusted and warped within a few weeks and only two burns. Would never pay this much again for this product.

worth the money
portable, moveable, burns papers, cardboard, sticks, branches very well.

Side panels warped
The lid is hard to use as the side panels warped during the first use. Does a nice job burning material. Not sure it would come apart if I needed to because of the warping.

Works like a Champ!
I owned my 48" Bad Idea incinerator for over 2 years. I burned like crazy in it living in North Carolina. The unit works fabulously and I could store it when not in use. The panels are made of metal so there will be warping with heating and cooling at different rates, this is just a physical attribute of steel. This is not faulty craftmanship in my opinion, just what happens to metal when brought to such high heat and cooled at different rates (Due to rain, humidity, etc). I just reversed the panels ever couple of burns and all was good. Also, seasonally, I would either apply more grill paint to it OR use a healthy coating of WW40 to reduce surface rust. I would buy again.

Works good
Burnt well. Easy clean up with optional bottom panel. Also purchased lid which is pretty useless since the sides warp so much that you cannot really use it. I knew it would warp but it warped even more than I thought it would. I have not tried to reassemble since burning but hope it will go back together. I give the product itself a 4.0, and a 3.0 for value for the money since it is pretty pricey for what it is. 3.5 stars total. Average product that performs how advertised.
