Lost After Dark [DVD]

There's nothing new to see in Lost After Dark, in fact, it's probably best described as an homage to the 1970s and 1980s slasher movies, complete with a broken down school bus, dorky teenagers, an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere, and of course, a psycho killer on the prowl. The clichés are unashamedly thrown at you by the bucket load, the same can also be said about the blood and gore, particularly in the second half of the movie, as the body count begins to rise.That's not to say the movie isn't fun to watch, on the contrary, it's reasonably entertaining, so if you are in the mood for an old-school style horror B-movie, give it a go, and make sure you have the beer and popcorn to hand for the duration.

Great horror movie but always involves young kids and new actors..a must for horror fans

Great throwback to the 80s,a group of schoolkids go to a cabin but break down outside a killers house,some great and gory deaths,on par with Friday the 13th and Halloween

Great price, and a brand new sealed DVD too. Really enjoyed the film also. Top notch.

I get the feeling that this turned out to be so cheesy/poorly acted that they stuck a 'B-Movie dust and scratches' filter on it and tried to make out it was a deliberate homage to 70s/80s schlocky horror. Gets 2 stars only because a couple of the kills are gnarly and well done.

Fun little horror, I was in the mood for good slasher throwback and this is one of the more enjoyable attempts in recent years. While by no means a masterpiece the movie does a good job of executing well worn slasher tropes with fairly consistent style. Mostly good (for this type of movie) acting, a decent (if cliché killer), a good smattering of gore and few smart genre subversions make for a mostly enjoyable love letter to old school slashers with a few modern twists.All in all if your a horror fan and are in the mood for a decent throwback good ol fashioned slasher flick this is a solid pick.

A very good Slasher film plenty of blood guts,if you like Wrong turn series and Friday the Thirteenth you will enjoy this.

Terror at the prom! When else right??? Teens in stuck on a deserted back road, hey there's a house what can go wrong? Clean comment, no gratuitus boobies. Just terror. And do watch the credits to the end for the satisfying and totally expected twist....
