- The Double Plate Grill is craft made through a high thickness casting of die-cast aluminium with a non-stick coating, reinforced with microparticles of lava stone and ceramic. The combination of materials ensures maximum performance in the kitchen: extremely resistant to abrasion and scratches, extremely effective coating to prevent food sticking.
- The first time you use the griddle the ceramic-coated terracotta must be oxygenated. Heat the plate on a high burner for 3-4 minutes, add a drop of water and if the water immediately evaporates, lower the heat, put in a drop of oil and clean the base, then start cooking. This operation must be carried out on both sides just the first time it is used.
The grill can be used on both sides (double-sided). The grill side functions as a griddle for roasting meat and fish, kebabs, hamburgers, sausages, steaks, salmon, prawns, grilled vegetables, peppers, aubergines, courgettes, mushrooms, artichokes, toast, bruschetta and so on, while the smooth side is used as a hot plate, so for crepes, pancakes, flat bread, eggs, cheese, or even for melting sugar (caramel) to make nougat or simply to put on tarts, profiteroles, panettone and fruit. All of this without adding any oil, butter or fat for healthy, clean and non-fattening cooking
