Large is a relative term
This is a wonderful little bag. It is thoughtfully designed, sturdy, and useful. I’ve only used it for short rides of about an hour each, but appreciate the comfort of knowing I am carrying everything I need to fix a flat in a package that is easy to install and remove, tucks securely under my seat, doesn’t wobble around or get in the way of my riding, has reflective tape, and a double zipper for easy access from both sides. Mine is size “large,” which I would call “large enough.” On my Polygon Extrada 7 MTB, it holds an inner tube for 29”x2.25” tire, multi tool that is 3”x1.75”x1”, 3 tire levers, small patch kit, CO2 inflator with cartridge, and 10”x12” microfiber towel. There is about 2 cubic inches to spare, like 2 energy bars. It’s good to know that there is also extra room in the drop down pouch should I need it. Yesterday I had a flat rear tire and I was back on the bike path in about 15 minutes. Was I glad to have everything I needed! I’m also glad I ordered a “large.”

Best mtb saddle bag for money.
This bag is the perfect size (large). If it is close in price to the medium, opt for the large. It will easily fit an iPhone 15 pro max along with wallet and keys. Looks sturdy, but will update if any quality issues arise.Pros: Inexpensive, good size, well made and designed, reflective material on the rear with a cutout for a reflector. Contoured opening helps fit slightly larger items than a flat one would. Velcro strap for seat post is adequate. Hard plastic insert protects items inside from the seat rails above.Cons: Cheap sewn on nylon zipper pull, single clip design. I wish it had one on each side for more secure mounting and adjustability.TLDR: I'm happy with the price I paid, size, and quality. I would buy this again.

Nice little saddle bag with one major design flaw
I bought this bag to carry and extra inner tube, multi-tool and CO2 canisters in case I got a flat while riding on the road. It fulfills this need no problem. Now that I know what I want though, I probably would have bought the large rather than the medium.I like the looks of this bag. The way the back of the bag slopes down gives it an aero type look. It is a very compact, no frills saddle bag that fits the bill. I can't speak to it's water resistance because I live in the desert southwest where we get 362 days of sunshine a year. My biggest gripe about the bag, is the same reason I like it. The shape. See that little slope on the top part of the bag that makes it look really cool, also contains a clip strap for a rear light. It holds the light well. No problem with the light falling off or anything. But the angle makes the light point almost straight down at the rear tire. So it defeats the purpose of the light. It's not a defect, it's part of the design that makes the bag look cool IMO. So if you get this bag, you'll need to come up with a way to "shim" your rear light upward so it points straight off the back of your bike for greater visibility, or mount the light somewhere else.Features I like about this bag? The little mesh pocket inside the back cover for holding things like valve core tool, stem caps, etc. The velcro strap that wraps under the bag to provide additional support to prevent the bag from sagging with a full load or the strap coming undone on bumpy roads. The use of a velcro strap around the seat post and not some weird rubberband tie. Thewhole bag can come off and go on in seconds so you can take it with you if you're out and about town. Any rear light that has a decent clip is not going to fall off.In the end, I'm very happy with the bag. It carries what I need. I never worry about it falling off or anything. I'd buy it again. I need to figure the whole "shim the rear light" thing out. I use a Niterider OLED 1200 light for my rear light in case anyone is wondering.

AWESOME!
Awesome bag, I would recommend getting the Large as it can fit wallet, keys, and protein bar

Terrific Bike Bag - Small size is perfect for my needs.
This relates to the SMALL size BV Bike Strap On Seat Bag. When it came to researching the best bike bag (for which I probably spent way too much time), the most important question I had to answer was how would I use this bag? Was I looking to store the basics of on-road repair, or was I looking to carry a myriad of personal items? In my case, I was looking for the basics, plus perhaps a little extra room if I wanted to hold keys, license or extra phone charger. I also wanted to make sure the bag did not extend beyond the profile of my seat and obviously did not want it to brush up against my legs. For me - the Small size BV bag was perfect.Regarding the "profile" note that your type of bike, seat and seat positioning make a difference. So reading about what works for others may not be a good reference, at least without photos, which I've included. My bag carries: 1-Replacement tube; 1-Crank Brothers 21 toolset; 2-tire levers; 1-Pro Bike CO2 Inflator w/Canister; 2 CO2 cartridges. To be fair, it is a tight fit and takes a little puzzling to get the best configuration. But as I thankfully, rarely need access to the items, it's fine. Though I'm not a weight weenie, I do like to keep things streamlined. I also slide my license and a key in without a problem. However, as many people ask, the small size would not also accommodate my phone, which I keep it on my handlebars anyway, so that is not an issue.I did visit a number of bike shops to see what they carried, more for size than anything. The Amazon pricing was considerably cheaper than in bike shops. I know the medium size has a collapsible expander, which would be great for the small as well, but honestly, it's not necessary. I would definitely buy a BV again as it straps on tightly (watch their installation video), is well constructed, has a net pouch inside and a strap to clip on a light. I may try the medium on my hybrid mountain bike just for comparison and will write about it if I do.

THIS WORKS AS A TANDEM STOKER BAG!
We have used the large BV saddle bag as a tandem stoker bag for several years with excellent results. We recently added a new tandem to our collection and bought a second BV bag for our new bike. These bags fit well (check the dimensions on your bike), the seat post Velcro strap works, the saddle strap can easily be wrapped over the stoker stem on top, and we add a length of double-sided Velcro to the fabric loop underneath the bag to wrap around the stoker's top tube. It is easy to install. The bag opens from the top facing the stoker, and is durable and spacious. There's plenty of room for a spare inner tube and a power bank to run the stoker's iPhone. Recommended for this application.

It’s a seat bag. Medium is small.
If I had known how small the medium is, I would have ordered the large. The medium seems small to me. I watched the YouTube that someone kindly gave a link to in the Q&A section and fastened the bag to my husband’s “new” vintage Schwinn LeTour III which has a rack on the back. I don’t think it will work with the expandable zipper section open because there is not enough space between the bottom of the seat and the rack. If you are tall or have no rack, you could easily unzip it and have more space. My opinion on what you want to have in there, and I am no expert, is: repair tool, patch kit, levers, maybe a spare tube (not sure that would fit in the medium, I think not, I think it would take up the whole thing), first aid, sunscreen. That seems like a minimum to me. We have bags on our other bikes and truthfully, they are all just bike bags. The capacity is what matters. If installed correctly, they all stay put. I do like that there is a loop on the back for a flashing light as the back of the rack does not accommodate. The price was right. It is fine. Our other bags are large enough for a few nice extra items, this one is not.

Awesome bag! Pics of volume inside!
As of only having used this bag once, my experience is limited, but my initial impressions are that this is an awesome little bag.Pros - So right off the bat the first thing I noticed is that this is an extremely well made bag. The stitching is sturdy and robust, and it is obvious that whoever made this bag spent a lot of time making sure that it was crafted properly. I have no doubt that this bag will last me a couple years if properly taken care of. Another Pro of this bag is that it has 3M reflective tape on the side, now as somebody who uses their bike for commuting, being seen is always something that is of importance to me, especially at night. I have attached pictures that show how bright that tape is when hit with a bright light. And my last major take away from this bag is that it has tons of space inside. I have plenty of space to fit my full wallet, my phone, my keys, tools and a spare tire.Cons - Really the only con, and this one is a bit of a stretch, is that the bag wiggles just a tiny bit when you're handling it. Now this is completely unnoticeable when you're riding the bike, but due to it only being attached at two areas it seems to move a little bit when you're opening and closing it. As I said, this one is a super stretch, I honestly couldn't think of anything that is a real negative about this bag.In summary, if you're looking for a sturdy, well made, and well thought through bag to use on your bike whether you're a commuter, racer, or just somebody who wants some extra space, this bag is for you. I could not recommended enough.I will update this review if anything arises in the next couple months.

Very practical saddle bag.
I've now got three of these fitted to my various bikes, as they are well made, at a good price, and can easily take all sorts of stuff. As these bags go, they also look pretty good too, with their muted colours not drawing attention, but with reflective strips for a bit of added safety. This latest bag was purchased for my Fat Bike, and it holds two spare fat bike tubes, without needing to unzip the lower expanding part, so these bags can carry a lot of stuff should you need to.These bags seem to be waterproof too. I've pressure washed them to get the worst of the mud off and not found any water ingress so far.I do only use these bags for carrying spare tubes and tyre levers, so I'm not opening and closing them all the time, but they seem well made and the zips so far haven't caused me any bother.

Great piece of kit
Great piece of kit!(Small Size) Big enough to fit a co2 inflator, spare inner tube, puncture repair kit, tyre leavers, multi-tool and set of allen-keys and have room for your keys and phone. It fits securely, doesn't move about and stays completely out of the way. Nothing more you could ask for.
