Reviews are not for the lightning adatper, and the adapter itself is shoddy
I ordered a lightning cable adapter that should allow lightning headphones and a charger to be plugged into a newer iPhone at the same time. I simply grabbed the one with good reviews, but it seems that the seller is using reviews for another product (probably by changing the product details after reviews are garnered). Most of the reviews here are for a headset which isn't even an option for this item. I have been seeing this a lot lately, and usually around these types of products. A headset vs a cable adapter aren't color or size options, butI followed the directions for this adapter and rebooted my phone after 3 minutes. I can get audio on my headphones and charging at the same time, however the headphones randomly send the pause command to the phone and the music pauses. It usually only plays for about 30 seconds before it cuts out. It also tends to send the Siri command that you would normally get by holding the button on the headphones. In other words, this thing is sending enough crap into the phone that it thinks I'm using the headphone buttons.

iPad Mini turned AWESOME LAPTOP
So I never write these reviews on Amazon. Why? Because I get busy and do other things instead. So this time I decided to write a review AND make a video. Lucky you! The real reason was because I spend WEEKS debating on which case I wanted, reading reviews, going back and forth, before deciding on this one. If I can save just one person from having to do that, then I'll feel better. So first thoughts on the product were that it felt nice and sturdy. I like the material it's made out of. Some other reviewers reported problems getting the iPad out once it's in the case, but I had no problems getting it right out.It works just like it should, the mechanism that slides out and lets the iPad Mini rest in place feels sturdy and the keys themselves are very responsive. In fact, I'm typing this review on it right now. (I paired it with my macbook just to see if I could and it worked)The keys are small, but I have HUGE hands and I'm still finding it very easy to type. The only annoyances I've found so far is that the ? and ' keys are under the function keys for the letters i and l respectively. But I do like the iPad shortcuts that are built into the top row.All and all I'm quite happy with the product. I love the look and feel of the item. I have a sweet iPad Mini laptop now. Any questions, let me know and I'd be happy to answer!

Works well for smaller phones
The car mount is steady enough to hold a smaller cell phone. At first, it was hard to figure out how to use the mount, but once we figured it out, it was pretty simple to move from car to car if we needed it for long rides. Here are some pluses.1. It easily clips to the vent of the car, so it's closer then if we had to use the mount that sticks to the windshield. Because it's closer, we can adjust the GPS navigation or anything else when driving. I would recommend not fidgeting with the phone while driving; have the passenger help out.2. With a push of a button, the holders easily adjust to the width of the cell phone. It felt more secure with our smaller cell phones, but it did hold the larger 5.5" screen phone; just not as steadily. Here are some negative points:1. The bottom holders covered up our HTC's plug in port, so we actually had to break the bottom rung off, so we can plug the phone in to charge during the car trip. The other rung is still on, so it can still hold the phone, but I think that was a poor design.2. It's pretty flimsy, so when we needed to adjust the mount, it fell off the vent. It's best to make sure the cell phone is exactly where you want it when driving and try not to move it while driving lest the phone falls off.Because we bought a new larger phone, I am not as comfortable using this mount for our car. It worked well with the smaller phone with some issues, but I think I'll look for one that is a bit more sturdy.

Good mount design/features, poor quality.
Let me start by saying this: I paid $20 for a phone mount at Walmart, which ended up not even being able to hold my phone without it falling out every 30 minutes. I had to return it once I received this unit. This phone mount cost half that, and is the best phone mount I've ever had.The mount was straightforward to put together, piece of cake. It's also so easy to mount to the windshield and secure my phone that I can do it with 1 hand without difficulty. The grip on the phone is great. It has plenty of room for a large phone with a case, and the foam on the grips keep your phone securely in place. The grips are also thick enough for any phone with case. I haven't had the mount drop my phone a single time (my previous 2 mounts didn't have thick enough grips so my phone constantly fell out). The mount is highly, easily adjustable, so you can pretty much angle it whatever way you want. It has notches that make the mount click as you rotate it, so it won't move out of the position you want. The one negative about this mount is that, at least in my unit, the spring that opens the grips is a bit weak. When it's cold in the car, it can be quite slow in expanding, but that's no major issue.Take the mount out of the car when it's hot outside, and this thing will serve you well, at half the cost of bad quality phone mounts that are found in stores.UPDATE: This is my second of this mount that I've bought, and this one too went bad within 8 months. This product degrades with every use, having less and less suction until eventually it can't stick to your windshield anymore. The suction cup somehow loosens itself from the spring mechanism that tightens the cup on the windshield. And there's no detectable way to fix it, since the mount can't be disassembled without breaking it. This mount is good in design.. But quality is severely lacking. You'll get 6-8 months of use when you take it down and put it up once per day, 5 days a week.
