My review is based upon the optical cable connection... I love this soundbar. At first, I thought something might have been wrong when the volume range could only be adjusted from 00 to 32, but don't let that fool you. It is a VERY LOUD 32 at the top end, when playing blu-rays and mp3's. So loud, it shakes the china cabinet on the other side of the room. My LG HDTV also sounded very loud, but maybe not quite as much. I am not complaining though. Maybe using one of the other connection options will yield different results? It is a very solid, well-built, LOUD soundbar, and it sounds way better than the original TV speaker sound. The sub-woofer works great too, and really booms out the sound! In my case, it works best on the floor, next to the TV stand. The box the product came in was very large. Keep that in mind if you expect it to be sitting on your front porch for any length of time. I might have wanted a few more equalizer settings, but am still satisfied with what I got. You can adjust between movie sound mode, and music sound mode, and can adjust the bass in +1 or -1 increments up to +5 or -5 extra or less of the original volume level. The same with treble. The bright display indicator disappears after about +/- 5 minutes of not adjusting the volume, though if you increase or decrease the volume, it will reappear and stay lit for another 5 minutes or so. I'm not sure why it has to stay lit for so long. 15 seconds tops would seem much more reasonable. A minor quibble of mine, though not a deal breaker. Very happy with my purchase. If I ever have trouble with it, will revise my review.

This replaced an expensive Samsung surround sound system that lost the left rear and right front channels. I was skeptical of the quality because of the low price. What a surprise! Great sound with a booming wired bass. I am pleased with the way the system preforms. The remote is easy to use. The only drawback is there are no rear channels, but then, if you want rear channels you will spend a LOT more.

It's very loud and I don't even use it at 100% volume.To test this sound bar, I played lots of movies (like transformers and anything else with lots of high pulsing sound) and there was no distortion whatsoever. The sound is crisp and clear and it's so much easier to make out what actors are saying when they tend to mumble. I can honestly say that it's a great system from a lot of techies. It not only is a great sound bar for the money, but also beats competition costing WAY more than this. It has a solid construction, a wired subwoofer and a remote control.

I purchased this with expectations from the current reviews.I wish I had spent a little bit more money and got the better one I wanted

Nice full sound, much better than my previous soundbar that died recently. Plenty of volume to fill a large master bedroom without turning it up too much. Remote is vastly better than my previous sound bar remote. Very pleased with it so far. Seems like an excellent value for it's features and performance levels.

This shop was absolutely WONDERFUL! This bar is being used for our main theater room TV. While we have a theater surround system for special watching it is just too much for every day use. Wanting something better that sounded real nice we tried the hmovie sound bar. Reasonably priced and fit into our room. Well, the sound is absolutely room filling.This sound bar is not only sleek and elegant, it makes watching a show or movie all the more amazing. The sound quality is astoundingly good, if I turn it up too high it's like the walls are about to shake, if there is shooting in the film, it sounds incredibly real! The set up only took me about 5 minutes, and now I will always have outstanding sound quality. It's a must have.

Exactly what we were looking for in a soundbar system! As other reviews say, you feel like you're in a theater!
